Newsflash...

Yeah I've had it with the big pic on the top... so I made some changes... I'll add some more usefull stuff later... like photos and stuff... all the other stuff on my old blog version as useless... haha...

Hankuna Matata...

Pfingsten/Pinksteren (whatever the English name might be...). We spent last night in the company of many crazy but lovely people at a mol-althon. (watching the whole season of the dutch "Who is the Mole")and even took one crazy but lovely people home with us! (Or rather she drove us home and stayed with us.) So we had a nice day at the beach with Tanja today. We had pancakes and icecream and surely didn't walk enough to train all those calories off but oh well...

So anyways. Back to work tomorrow... but I'm really nervous about Wednesday. I just really want to get a job there. It would solve our all "problems". Oh well... there's no use worrying about it now, since I can't do anything about it right now anyways. So I guess I'll keep you up to date about how it went.

Hmmm.... I dare not hope...

I have a "job-interview" next wednesday at the EPO. It's a whole day interview sort of thing and I think it's one of those things where you go there with loads of other people who applied maybe for the same and maybe for other positions, take a language test in the morning... have some sandwiches and later when you passed the test you will have an interview. I didn't receive an official letter yet but I got an email in which I was aksed if I was available on that date... So I guess I should be exited but I'm too aware of all the other applications that led nowhere. So I'll wait and see. At least with this interview I can make myself a picture of the EPO. Right now it really is my "dream" place to work at. Real contracts, super health insurance and most importantly, working in different languages, two of which I speak fluently. I'll keep you up to date in this matter... :)

A liscence to parenthood...

... it should be made a law!

Seriously. Sometimes I wonder where we're headed. when I came home from work just now (I bike), there were these kids playing with a soccer ball on our street. Yes, ON the street. They were kicking the ball against all the windows and doors. So when I went to unlock our door the youngest one (about 4-ish) comes and talks to me about some bug that is crawling up my mailbox and aks if it's a dangerous bug and if he should take it off my mailbox. So I tell him it's a harmless little insect and he's all listening and then he says "I'm sorry that we kicked the ball against your door and window". So I say that I don't like it when they do that and I also ask him why they don't go play on the playground around the corner. I mean, it's safe there, no cars, no bikes and you don't destroy people's houses. Then the kid says in frustration. "No, we can't! We're not allowed by our mom!"
See that family is the most asicial one in our street. Those kids are always on the street until 11pm and such. They always cause trouble and annoy everyone else who lives here. It's about 7-8 children and their mom lives at home... of course you don't have to work when you get childsupport for 8 kids. So the mom is too lazy to move her butt to the beach (5 mins away) or the park(s) also all in short walking distance and even the playground (10 steps around the corner) and that woman sits in front of her TV all day and still wants the kids near her so she can "keep an eye" on them. So meanwhile her kids are frustrated and terrorize the neighbourhood and I'm sure they'd love to go to the beach or the park or something. It makes me so angry that people have so many children, and unless you're really religious (and even then I'd thing you're a moron), there's no excuse for having so many kids that you don't want to take care of. I wouldn'd call them "unwanted" children, since obviously they make money of them. *sigh*
Those kids don't have a choice. I mean even I hate the kids but when you think about it, it's not their fault. It's all the fault of their parents (the dad has to work his ass off to pay for the family so he's barely ever there) and the mom who is too lazy to move her butt and raise her children...

well I guess whereever you live there will be a family like that...


Speaking of family... I'm so thrilled!!! My dad is coming tomorrow! My mom, brother and grandma are coming a day later! I'm so happy to see them again! I can't wait! I still have to do some cleaning and stuff, so that stinks, but It's worth it for them! :) I really miss them loads!

For the first time in the history of me watching the ESC the act I liked best won! Ukraine won with 280 points! Angel hated it but I liked the song and the singer is really good-looking... haha...





And Sertab had some shocking hair going on and seemed very spaced out all evening... and then she lost her shoe on stage... LOL

Other than that we had a great day! Went to the beach and ate loads of crap. I like the beach and the water was so nice... I'll post some piccies later on.

Tonight is the night...

... of the European Songcontest! Hahaha... if you like to watch bad music performances this is it!!! I have to say, though, that last year's winner is anything but horrible. Sertab rules big time... but hey, that's why she won!



Yeah... one of my standard crushes... hihihi. Anyhoo... we're spending this evening in the lovely company of Tanja and two sweet guys who happen to be gay and obsessed with the ESC and who will make this night even more fun! I'm really looking forward to it. We have BUs and a watermelon and loads of junkfood, so it will be grand!

I don't really care who wins... usually that's not the best one... last year it was but who can resist a sexy show like that? So anyhoo... there's a couple of acts that I like but we'll see...
