Hiyaaah!

Yeah so the Kuschi has had her first Team Kata Tournament yesterday. It was loads of fun!!! I mean, our team didn't win anything, in fact we lost everything and were out of the competition after only 5 minutes, but I won all my individual duels (or what you call it when you do a kata against the kata of someone else) so it was a personal achievement and most importantly since it was all new to me, I got to know the world of competitive karate, which I discovered I love.

So that was exciting. I know now that Karate is really what I love. It always takes me a while to figure out if it's not just a phase because I have that with many things. I always do things 100% or not at all so usually when I try something out I'm all into it but then I don't feel 100% at home at it and then I quit altogether because I don't do half things. But karate feels right, I enjoy it massively and that's sort of a first.

Other than that it's nice to see that the Tefkaak is still alive after this weekend since ME (yes, me, as in the Kuschi) did most of the driving (yes, driving an actual CAR). I killed it several times, because I cannot perform under pressure (in Karate I do but not when driving a car) lol, it was horrible, but I need to keep doing it to get back into it. So I'll be driving again when we rent another car. :D

Oh and I have my Orange Belt Exam on December 15th which I'm sure I can master since they wanted to give me the orange belt already after my yellow belt exam. Now all I have to focus on is to fine tune my technique to pass even more sweetely :D hehe :D

That's it from me for now :D ?

Neopets Games - Play with your Neopet!

Yeah sorry that I never update anymore. I've been really busy with drawing etc lately. So then also the only updates I make are on DeviantArt.com since it's all art related... My latest one is the one below. I'm trying out different techniques etc so it all still a bit experimental. But I really enjoy doing it so that's good motivation. ^_^

The most exciting thing that has happened lately is that the Tefkaak has fallen through the bed last night. Yes. You heard correctly. Our lovely King-sized IKEA bed of more than 10 years has deceased. It happened during the head-banging to the Buffy opening music but we have heard it creak previous to that moment of utter start. But once we saw that Homer had NOT been under the bed it all just turned extremely funny and ridiculous. The metal bar in the middle of the bed had torn already ages ago so it was only a matter of time till it fell down completly. So we took the bed apart in the middle of the night and from now on till our next IKEA visit we'll be sleeping on the floor... I slept alright but the getting up part is a bit more difficult now than just rolling out. Now you actually are required to get UP up.

So anyhoo... we did try out a Häestens bed today since we'd always wanted one... but since 7.000,00 Euros is what we pay for real wooden floors, but not a BED we decided to go with IKEA again... one has to have priorities... (the best-seller Häestens cost 16.000,00 Euros; more than an a small car o_O; ) For us, as great as the beds are, it's simply not worth it. All natural materials my ass... you pay mostly for the name and we are not wasters of money. So no blue checkers for us.
