Remind me again...

... of all the negative things that Summer brings...

How come every year I block out all the crap that annoys me so much during summer and then a year later it hits me again like concrete wall with giant metal spikes?!!

Today I was biking through Scheveningen and not only was there freakish boom-box music coming from all the convertables, the not-dutch-looking passangers of those said vehicles also were on a slime roll. You know I'm proud not to be the man-hating kind of lesbian but in times like these I start showing signs of it. I don't mind people staring at my boobs but when some eastern/southern-European guy with 5000 liters baby-butt-oil in his hair checks you out and says "yeah baby" grabbing his groin in the carseat you'd just love to have a giant axe in your backpack!!!

So onwards I went after the traffic lights finally turned green when two other slime-fucks in another convertable with boom-box music honked at me... Being the insecure little Kuschi that I am I thought I had like a giant piece of birdpoe on my head or something... so I checked it out in the library bathroom yet nothing was wrong with my appearence other than the usual.

It seems that the second the thermometer jumps above 21 degrees guys just become these mutated slime monsters from anther dimension. Where's Captain Proton when you need him???

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

ahhhhh ahhhh ahhhhh.... ahhhh... ah... ahh!!!

(breathe Kuschi, breathe)

So I got a phonecall today that I am being offered a 2 year contract at the EPO!!!! So the decline letter I got the other day was for a different position then!!! So... I can start in August or September!!!! I'm so happy!!!! I can't quite believe it! I didn't expect it at all!!!

I can't believe my luck! :) I'm so happy! Lalalalalala I feel like dancing now!!! *biggrin*

This means better times ahead. We can finally move on with our plans! Find a new house, go on vacation etc!!! Yes!!! yesserdeyes!!

Okay... sorry I'm going all loopy but one year of looking for a decent job does that to you! :)

Wheee!!!!!

A new game...

Yeah I know the games-to-play-list is long but it's just so addictive!

sc

[ Space Colony ]

I love simulation games. But the cute kind... not the strictly military kind... those are for guys... anyways... Space Colony is kind of a mix in between StarTopia (which is still really high on my favourites list) and the Sims. You have to run a base on a planet through different missions. You get several operators who come with different skills and can work in different fields. All those operators have needs and stuff and if they stay happy they will work longer and better.

You can build the colony however you like (although sometimes there are restrictions in your mission) and you can buy many items from restaurants that serve space chicken to relaxation pods and space hotels.

It rules and I'm hooked! :)

So I went to sleep and when I woke up it was November...

huh So we have this uber-wierd summer storm thing happening. Usually this weather only happens in fall and winter. Cold, stormy, rainy... did I mention cold?

bla!

So it's the longest couple of days of the year... supposed to be full of sunshine... and what do we get? Trees that fall over... being kept awake by force 9 and 10 gales and sitting here behind my computer with 2 sweaters and I'm still freezing... in JUNE!

I want summer now!!! I can't stand this weather anymore! Gimme some sun!

A freaking heartattack...

ACK!

Go to this nice site: What is Dorit?

It's quite a fun list. It shows that Dorits are achievers, mothers and weirdly from Israel... eventhough it's a greek name...

Anyways... so I scroll down and I find this:

Dorit is a foreign exchange student from Germany who I spend a lot of time with and have been studying the Bible with weekly.

So I think "Oh shit that could really be me!" since I was an exchange student in the US and I did do bible studies (to not be exorcised). So I copy the whole sentence into google (since that is what that website does anyways) and I find the source: Amy's Newsletter.

Luckily enough I knew an Amy but didn't do any bible studies with her... so I scroll down and I see it's from Maryland and I have been in Mississippi. Phew! But when I read the header "Dorit - A challenge to Lordship" I'm like, go me the anti-christ.

Apparently more German Dorits have been withstanding the hell that is Christianity being forced upon you. I was too lazy and scared to make a stand so from the first week on I pretended I believed and they left me alone. All you have to do is go "I love Jesus" and you're it! MWuahaha... it also helped so that the people that actually DID care about me didn't worry about my soul and stuff. But honestly, man was I happy when I was back in Germany with normal people...

Of zo als de Tschechen zeggen...

.. AJETO!!!! MWUHAHAHAHAHA!!! So I actually watched part of the match and I saw the Czech Republic kick some Dutch butt! Haha! So with a little luck Holland will be out! :) (sorry for the fans but man do I hate the hysteria in this country...)

Oh and hmmm....

... I recived the dreaded letter from the EPO this week telling me that I have been rejected for the job. No reason, no explanation, nothing. Just a simple 'no'. Great! Angel says it's because there's something going on. Budget stop or simply the fact that they already have to many Germans and they have to make certain percentages of employee nationalities.

I'm really miffed. Not that I didn't get the job, because I told myself over and over again not to hope, but about the fact that they reject you without the slightest explanation. Where did the politeness go? They kept bringing up the fact that I was still so young during the interview. It certainly could not have been my language skills because they exeed other young people's by quite some degree. Also not my work experience since they invited me for an interview based on an old CV which didn't even have my 2 last jobs on it and they have been impressed with the responsibility I have within myt current job. The only thing I can remember that was kinda negative was that they kept poking at the fact that I studied multimedia engineering and am applying for a administrative job... and that I was still too young to really know what I want in life... blablafuckadabla!

I just wish they'd be so nice and help me do better in my next interview and tell me why I didn't fit their criteria. But no, that would be too much of an effort...

Meanwhile I'm becoming more comfy in my regular job. I hate that the department will stop existing in a couple of months. I like most of the people and I'm getting the hang of phoning customers and not have a heart attack everytime I have to say something. But all the cool people there already found a new job and it's only a matter of time until they leave for good. So in the end it will be nobody but us temps holding up the fortress. Weird since there's quite comlicated and responsible tasks and eventhough it's all coming to an end it's still crucial to the company's customer rating... oh well... it can only be positive for my CV. I am already doing 2 extra tasks additionally to what I have been hired for. It won't be long until I have taken over everything... MUHAHAHAHAHAHA... ehem

KUT HOLLAND KUT!

This country is insane. There's more Orange on the streets now than there is on prinsjes dag en Konninginnendag together... multiplied even... and all because of the stupid EC soccer.

See, I used to be into soccer when I was younger. I used to play it when I was a kid... and later on when I was in my "oh, England is so cool" - phase I was watching every England match there was. But I liked it for the game. Somehow back then I could still get excited about 85 minutes of boring walking around with the ball and maybe 5 minutes of real action. Now I just think it's really boring and I really don't care who wins or how they play etc... that is until recently. Because now, I do care. Holland has to LOSE! They have to go out! Bye bye Oranje! Because this country is driving me insane at the moment. Everything is being painted Orange, everyone wears orange, all the TV shows and ads are about orange soccer, all de radio shows as well. In all the stores there's Orange/Soccer sales and guess what... the Dutch team really really sucks!

So here I sit with my orange hat (of course I got that for free in a book store, makes sense, eh?) and chow on my dutch food and hope that Holland loses so they won't go any further up in the European Championship and everything will go back to normal...

I hope...

13

So we finally watched "Thirteen" (yeah I should cross that of my list, but hey, I'm too lazy so what else is new). It's a really cool movie. Click here to watch the trailer.

thirteen

Whereas I personally never experienced any of those problems in the movie I've seen too many kids around me go through them, especially when I lived in the USA. It's a really realistic story (the script's based on personal experience) and all the actors perform really great. So if you want to watch a good movie go see Thirteen! I can't write good reviews so you will have to take my word for it! I give it 5 "stars" !

So I really can't say how it went... I have no clue.. they ask questions and you just sit there and smile and answer as honestly as possible. I will know if they want me or not in about 2 months... nice... but I can't change that. So I'll just not think about it and relax...
