Don't give up...

hmmm so today I went running again with the "advanced" running group and let me tell you today I pushed my limits big time. They are all better runners so they started off much faster than I was used to. Very quickly I ran out of breath and not just out of breath but out of everything. At one point I jus went numb. All I could feel was my heart beating and lung breathing and scenery swooshed by. I couldn't feel my legs anymore well except when at one point many lovely blisters started to make themselves known. The rest of the group they started speeding-up exercises at one point which is basicly you run a faster pace for 2 or 3 minutes and then slow down again but I simply couldn't. So when they took off ahead of me they were so kind to run back half way so I wouldn't get lost since I had NO idea where I was at one point. It's weird since I've never gotten to a point of this much exhaustion ever in my life. And guess what, I kept running. I actually ran ALL THE WAY till the end. I bit through all the pain and so many times did I think it would be so easy to just stop running. But I didn't. I think this is the hardest physical thing I have ever done. And I still feel crappy cause they had to run back for me. Haha how stupid am I? But yes, I'm very proud eventhough I'm so extremely exhausted now it's not even funny. So in the end we ran approximately 8,5 km and it took me 52 minutes so just like Tuesday but I obviously did not run as far nor as fast on Tuesday so it's again an improvement. I will have to go running again on Sunday and again on Tuesday where we'll practice for the run.

On the Karate front I have decided against going to the Tournament since it's too much to do and too little time and well, I asked around and nobody else from our club is going. I'd have to prepare 3 katas which is too much seeing how I have my exam at the same time which requires more practice and well, it's more important. Oh and I will talk to my sensei about my options and what I should train for. Which belt, I mean. I just want to make sure that it's not gonna happen again like last time that I got to skip a belt without doing the required kata and kihon. So I want to talk to my sensei that IF they consider me ready for brown belt, that I want to also take the exam for brown belt, regardless what they KNOW I can do. It's only fair that way. And if they'd rather I just get blue then I know that too, it doesn't really matter to me other than that I want to get my belts fairly and go through all the same stuff as everyone else. And I know they know I can do all the required things, but that's not the issue. I WANT to perform the katas at the exam just like everyone else.

So yeah so I'll try and clear that up on Monday. ^___^
Now I'll go watch some dumbo TV and since they are finishing up the garden you should expect the first pictures tomorrow evening ^____^

52 minutes

That's how long I ran today. 52 fucking minutes!!! Without a break. Out of my office through the park and forest and meadows and back to the office. I'm so fucking proud. I have my first organized Run sometime in June, the Patent Run... hehe. It's 6 km and I'm sure I ran more than that today. :D *squee* So I feel much better about it now. Yippie!!! How cool am I? *does the happy dance*

I just loaded myself up with fluids and carbs so I can get through the rest of the day, hahaha. I have karate training tomorrow, which includes training for the brown belt exam (since the blue belts are training for that and I'm the only green belt that still shows up so I train with them) and then on Thursday I'll go running again. Yeah!

Frédérique Huydts

We watched the final episode of the celebrity version of The Mole on TV tonight. One of the candidates, the actrice and walking sunshine Frédérique Huydts (38) passed away beginning of April this year because her cancer had gone into remission. This has shocked the entire country terribly since she was such a radiant person, full of life, so kind and lovely, with those sparkly eyes. When you saw her you just had to smile. She was a great candidate and tonight we saw that she had won this series of The Mole. She was the ultimate winner.

The show had been taped a while back but the final Episode is usually shot during the time that the last couple of episodes air on TV. This time however, when the production heard that Frédérique had gotten really sick again in just a matter of days and been hospitalized, they shot the final episode right away eventhough Frédérique couldn't even be there anymore, but just to shoot it before she died because of the effect it would have on the other candidates (many of them were close). Well, Frédérique died the very next day. She had been sick 2 years ago had gone through Chemo and eventually had received a clean bill of health. She had fought so hard and in The Mole she had shown several times how much of a fighter she really was. One assignment on the show was to bike up a mountain at an altitude of 4000 metres, where 3 other candidates had given up because it was too hard, she kept going and she made it to the finish.

It was such great pleasure to see her on the show as well as remembering her previous work and it was sad to see the episodes after her death because she had been our favourite candidate from the beginning on. Tonight, as I'm sure most people who watched the final did, we cried our hearts out when the final credits rolled and you could hear her say some last words which had been recorded shortly before she passed away. It's just so horrible how someone who had fought so incredibly hard for her life lost it way too soon.

So this is to you Frédérique!

Desperate Housewives: The Game

You heard correctly. As I have read on my Nr. 1 Game News Source Kotaku who are giving contant updates on the biggest Games Event in the World, the E306 in LA, a Video Game version of Desperate Housewives is coming to existence. Read the Article here
The game is said to be a mix between The Sims and an adventure game that includes missions, mini games and smoochies with the neighbours. I don't know if the actual characters of the TV show will be characters in the game or not but it sounds very interesting. I'm gonna keep my eyes open for that one. Hehe. Watch out Wisteria Lane. MWuahahahaha!!!

"If I'm the Seated Woman with a Parasol I will be safe in my frame" Tori Amos - "Parasol"

Seated woman with a parasol I know for sure that this is not the only song about a painting but everytime I hear it I have to think of the painting "Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" by Georges Seurat. I once had to write an essay on that painting, in a what we call "Bildanalyse", and the seated woman with a parasol was one of the main figures... it's very strange. First you look at the woman with the child in the middle but then you notice the seated woman with a parasol. I wrote this whole bit about what she might feel or what she might think and I got the highest grade for it so I guess it was a success. So anyhoo, I just listened to that song and it came to my mind.

Again with the Cumputer Issues

Argh! Why do I still bother? On Sunday I turned my PC on in the hopes of playing some more Tomb Raider: Legend and first windows explorer crashes and as soon as I hit my desktop it freezes. So I reboot and then my desktop loads but I get an error message from Norton that something is wrong with my fracking liscence, which is rididculous since I bought the fracking software less than a year ago and the subription lasts 365 days. So of course without firewall and antivirus software I can't go online, that'd be suicide so I reboot and try to repair the software or whatever but nothing works so I try and uninstall it since that's what the nice friendly messages keep telling me. But yeah, you've guessed it, that ain't working. I get all sorts of errors during the uninstall and I try to stop it but it goes through with it. How hard can it be to properly delete all shit associated with a program??? Lovely. I try to reinstall the software then but of course that doesn't work, piece of crap XP has all those hidden shitfiles everywhere. I cleaned out the Reg and all but nothing works. Crappy Norton can't even fix itself. Dammit!!!! This means I have to backup my files and reinstall the entire system to get a clean intall. It's so much fracking work!!! Dammit!!! I hate XP, it's a load of fracking crap!!! It screws up all the time for no reason whatsover!!! Just like that, from one day to the next without me doing anything. Great. So there goes another couple of evenings trying to fix everything again.

Just. Lovely.

At least I have Animal Crossing: Wild World to cheer me up. Damn that game is addictive!!! I just hope that I can backup my Tomb Raider savegames and reintegrate them into the game, although playing the first 4 levels over wouldn't be so horrible, it's a really awesome game.
