Among many Turks Dyabakr seems to have a bad reputation. As most of them never visited this interesting and lively city nobody should worry about that. On the contrary. The mainly Kurdish population is very friendly and hospitable. The city is scattered with the remains of the churches of the various religions that had or have settled here. This is a place where you should walk around and let you be invited into one’s home or to (the remains of) a church by it’s guardian.
