Japanese Rockmusic = no glam or pink bubbles

tsubakiya

Okay I admit I have quite a lot of Anime Soundtrack however it's mostly instrumental stuff or the occasional rock or nice pop balad. I just cannot stand the plastic J-pop that much. So I looked into J-rock... and well it's just as bad.. well the glam J-rockers that is. It stinks that I have no idea how to search for good Japanese music.

Well it took me a while and I found several great rock bands that make great rock music: Asian Kung-Fu generation (Amazon delivered one of their albums yesterday ^__^), Tsubakiya Shijuusou and Bump of Chicken. Sadly enough their Albums are non-existent on the western market so I'd have to buy 2nd hand. I'll keep my eyes open and until then I have the couple of mp3s I COULD find and the streams on their websites... lol

But yeah... it's good stuff and it's sad that you can buy that plastic pop everywhere in Europe but the real music doesn't make it over here. That's also how people keep their predjudices.

So yeah... Just wanted to post some links so if you like rock music, check out their websites.

And for those who go to Japanese websites more often, here's my favourite tool ever: MOJI. You need to install the extension from the firefox website and then install the language kits from the Moji website. ^___^

Ja mata!!!!
