Participated as an observer in two different peace and reconciliation conferences on Somalia organised by the UN in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Evaluated women projects in Ethiopia and The Sudan on behalf of Novib, a Dutch development agency

Worked as a freelance for the Ministry of Internal Affairs in The Netherlands on project which culminated for the publication of a handbook:
‘Communicatie Sleutel tot Somalische Gemeenschap in Nederland’. This handbook was twice published as it was used by organisations, institution and individuals involved in integration and social policies in the local government in the Netherlands .
