Another shutout for Almere
Nederlands
ALMERE (Neth.) - Instant Holland Almere '90 on Sunday won 6-0 vs. RCH-Pinguïns to take a 2-0 lead in their Play-Off and is now one win shy of securing its place in next years big league.

Erik Remmerswaal (7 innings) and Michiel van Kampen (2 innings) combined on a 6-hit shutout and were supported by four double plays.
Only one RCH-runner reached third base and that happened in the fifth when the team got the bases loaded with one out. But then Remco Draijer flied out to leftfielder Siemen Korff, who threw out the runner from third at the plate, after he tried to score.
In the sixth inning, rightfielder Jurriaan Korff made a great catch on a fly by Danny Mujica, which led to an inning-ending double play.

Almere opened the score in the first inning, then added three runs in the third at bat.
In the third, Bart Gabriëls hit an RBI-double, then Ivanon Coffie grounded in a run, later followed by an RBI-single by Jurriaan Korff.
In the fifth, Almere scored twice when it hit four consecutive singles, including RBI-singles by Kenny Berkenbosch (3-for-4) and Ricardo Miranda.

In the eighth inning, Almere's third baseman and national team-player Ivanon Coffie was replaced, as he will not be with the team next week when it completes its series. Coffie will fly home to Curaçao next Thursday.
