I'm still here.

Yeah, long time no blabla... Guess I had nothing exciting to write about. I guess I owe you all an update of sorts. Lemme see...

So I spent 4 days in Germany. Believe it or not, the first time in 5 years Angel and I have slept a night apart. It was great though. Nopt the apart being ness but the trip itself. I had promised my grandma we'd come visit her but because if the dogs I went alone. Old "Ferienkind" memories came flashing back, venthough back when I Was 10 my grandpa was still alive and my grandparents were living in a GDR concrete flat. Leipzig has changed HUGELY! To the positive, I have to say. It's beautiful! A lot of money seems to be wisely spent over there. There's so much green, so many parks, the university is doing well, loads of westgermans are studying there and since the weather was great many people sat in the biergartens and parks with their laptops and books. My grandma is in amazing condition and so we did a bike trip to the Cospudener Lake, which used to be a Brown Cole Hole. The area around Leipzig used to look like a moon landscape. Now it's green and "hip". Kit surfers on the "baggersee", next to a chique yacht harbour and weekend villas. Very different.

I also had to get a birth certificate for our wedding from the Leipzig Standesamt but my grandma did all that for me. She rocks!

Then I went to Berlin for, well less than 24 hours. My sister had her last concert with her band and since I hadn't been there for any concerts in the past 5 years I HAD to see it. They were awesome. No wonder they are the best in the capital! They're called the Rythm & Melody Synfonishes Blasorchester (no clue how to translate that last part) and they played stuff from Carmen, Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean. Good stuff! Of course time with my family was way too short since I had to catch the early train on Sunday morning. I slept way too little and even now after sleeping 10 hours last night I'm still dead.

Other than that, my karate sensei's teach died last week, which is quite tragic since he meant a lot to so many people. Practice is gonna be a bit less fun for while, but I think now we have to train extra hard in his honor. I hope many of the people who don't show up regularly will think twice before they cut a nother class.

Sportwise we're also playing more DDR again now, since we got a new mat and the original game and not the crappy knockoff anymore. It's plenty of fun and a great way to burn calories.

I'm also gonna look at clarinet lessons, since after months (years) of being undecisive I chose that as the instrument I want to learn. It's about time but it's said to be one of the easiest instruments to learn at an older age. (can't believe I just referred to myself as someone of "older age") I just missed the new lessons for this year so I guess I'll have to start private lessons or something. I'll have to look it up. We'll see how that goes...

I think that's about it in Kuschi related news. All in all I'm doing great. :o)
