THIS REVIEW WAS WRITTEN BY CHRIS VAN OOSTROM AND PUBLISHED IN THE MUSICMAKER MAGAZINE. ERIC REGULARLY WRITES FOR THIS HIGH-PROFILE DUTCH MUSICIANS' ZINE (HE INTERVIEWED LEMMY, SYLVAIN SYLVAIN AND OTHERS FOR IT!), AND THE MAGAZINE USUALLY HAS A STRICT POLICY CONCERNING WRITING ABOUT THEIR OWN CONTRIBUTORS (MEANING: THEY DON'T). BUT AT THE CLOSE OF 2008, THE MAGAZINE HAD SOME JOURNOS OF ANOTHER MAGAZINE, 'REVOLVER', REVIEW THE RECORDS OF MUSICMAKER CONTRIBUTORS - CLEVER, EH?
A TRANSLATION IS TYPED UP BELOW, TOO:

"Look here, this would be a perfect little record for Little Steven's Underground Garage. A true-blue vinyl EP in raw mono on 33 RPM, three songs on each side, equally divided over two fourpiece bands. The Raving Bonkers (they insist you don't forget the definite article!) bring you way loud surf-garagerock, recorded in someone's bedroom, but it's turmoil with a passion that takes in the whole wide world outside. Is Sultans Of Sleaze the nicest instrumental ever recorded in this land? It could very well be. This is the way Apache would have sounded if Hank B. Marvin would have had a nightmare letting his strings wig out. The Flying Tigers [sic] let their Flying V's burn in what at first encounter sounds like just a bit less overwhelming neanderthal-beat. Here and there it reminded me of the Motions from The Hague, in their most utterly raw shape, but then with Augie Myers' [sic] organ thrown in."

Not bad, thanks Chris!
(And hey, I assume we're talking about Augie Meyers here... click!)
