Introduction

CivReplay allows you to load the savegames of a game of FreeCiv, and browse through the history of the game that was played.

Download

The current version v0.0.3 is available for Windows and Linux (on IA32). It was released on December 19th 2005.

CivReplay-0.0.3-Win32.zip

CivReplay-0.0.3-Linux32.zip

CivReplay-0.0.3-Source.zip

Usage

Copy the exe to your regular FreeCiv directory (I'm using 2.0.7) and start CivReplay.exe. Choose a directory where you have your savegames stored. CivReplay will then open all files in there to check that all files are from the same game. Use the scrollbar to browse through the games. Using the "View map of" combobox you can switch between the different views of the world of the different players. Clicking on a name in the list of all players and their demographics will take you to that player's capitol.

Notes:

Check out the the todo and releasenotes for more details. Compiling CivReplay is rather straight-forward. See this page for more details.
