Installation is straightforward. However: backup before getting into a panic.
Put the files into C:\IBM386FS.
Run FTSETUP.EXE, which will modify your CONFIG.SYS. Check the modifications for using the right directories, and reboot.
Alternatively: add these two lines to your CONFIG.SYS manually, preferably at the top:
REM -- start of FT, 1996 version -- DEVICE=C:\IBM386FS\DISKFT.SYS RUN=C:\IBM386FS\FTMONIT.EXE REM -- end of FT --
Reboot and enjoy :-)
Use FTADMIN.EXE to get things started.
Remember, I give no guarantees. You're on your own.
Cheers/2 you all.
N.B. Like using HPFS386, using FT on Warp 4 is illegal, it being part of LANserver and/or Warp Server. But maybe IBM is somehow pleased with our interest in Warp.
Let me know your horror or success stories, other comments, suggestions, additions or answers concerning FT and/or alternatives to the same end.
