This is the eleventh game between the Netherlands and Nicaragua.
The first game between both countries was played on November 20, 1970 during the World Cup in Colombia.
The Netherlands has won four games, Nicaragua six.
For both countries this game is part of their preparations for the World Cup Baseball, which opens next Friday, September 2 in Rotterdam.
The World Cup will be held September 2 - 17 in five Dutch cities: Almere, Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Haarlem and Rotterdam.

The Dutch national team started last Saturday with a trainingcamp in Eindhoven and practiced there on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Today (Tuesday) and tomorrow (Wednesday, 2:00 PM), the Dutch team plays two exhibition games against Nicaragua, to be followed on Thursday with a practice session in Rotterdam.
The Dutch team opens the World Cup on Friday-evening against China.
Because this is an international game, the Play-by-Play will be in English.

Dit is de elfde wedstrijd tussen Nederland en Nicaragua.
De eerste wedstrijd tussen beide landen werd gespeeld op 20 november 1970 tijdens het Wereldkampioenschap in Colombia.

Vandaag (dinsdag) en morgen (woensdag, 14:00 uur) speelt Oranje twee oefeninterlands tegen Nicaragua, waarna donderdag nog wordt getraind in Rotterdam.
Nederland opent het WK vrijdagavond met de wedstrijd tegen China.
Omdat dit een internationale wedstrijd is, zal de Play-by-Play Engelstalig zijn.
