This is the (static) website of freetrader. Freetrader is committed to the free trade in ideas. I.e. the trade is not mandatory. If you don't want to trade your ideas with me, that's fine. I'm specifically not a freetrader in the WTO sense of the idea, where trade is in fact forced, but brought under the flag of freedom. Freetrader is also not in any way affiliated with the marketplace site.

With ubiquitious availability of digital hardware, how can one help being a photographer? I'm certainly one of them. And you too i bet. Well, it has not been easy for me to get some of my work posted on stockexchanging, but i finally managed with some pictures of a windmill. Of course.

If anything i want to be counted as a Buddhist. Our world lacks wisdom, that's for sure. I lack wisdom, i know. I'm certainly not one of them hard boiled atheists. Flat characters they are, if you ask me (but you don't). Stayed in a Buddhist monastary for almost a year. I can recommend you do the same. Especially if you think you don't need it.

I've always felt the truely political is personal. The rest is gossip and smoke curtain. Contrary to what Selexyz and ABC seem to think - they put it under 'management' - Naomi Klein's Shock Doctrine is very personal, very political and very disturbing. Money & violence rule the world, we are still barbarians, John Gray is right.

Born under punches, this. Never learned much of scripting, php and all the advanced stuff everybody is doing nowadays. Did not place a server in the cupboard either. So what. People need websites, so you create them. OK?

You don't have to be a pipefitter to understand Polanyi's 'Personal Knowledge', but it might help. Certainly his 'personal knowledge' concept applies to the workings of the pipefitter, as it does to that of the programmer, the requirements engineer, the car driver, the football player, ...

Don't let them fool you: everyone can be a scientist. Given a certain level of education, the right amount of money and a website to dump your theories, nothing stands in your way to being amongst the likes of Einstein. Personally i'm a world historian. Together with other scientists we roam the world and use methods of experimental archeology to confirm our conjectures.

Studied math. Yes, i really did. I like the way you can 'really' prove something. I like the imagination, the abstraction and the mysterious symbols. Was a victim however, of the abstractifying, 'context free' and 'formulas only' fashion that came into use during the second half of the twentieth century. A fashion recognized by the likes of Stanislaw Ulam (in contrast to myself a famous mathematician).

Beautiful things are everywhere. Or do you have to create beauty? And is uglyness - when looked at from the right angle - also beauty? Is beauty a word that's allowed? Or should we call it the mystical experience of the unity of men and world? Well, most of us would call it gibberish.

I've been writing essays and reviews for just about thirty-five years. And only recently found a way to dispose of them in a neat way. At Scribd you will find lots of people interested in what i have to say. And i have to say a lot.
