october 2009 - A new update for Copying Machine! Yes, it is time to share another beta of Copying Machine. The beta now includes the StillImage feature of Windows. Thanks to the testing of some users out there I could finally finish this. Oh, and Copying Machine should work with Windows 7!. The new beta can be downloaded from the Copying Machine section.

I am also experimenting with macros within Copying Machine. But that takes quite some time... but don't expect it soon :-)

april 2009 - In my last message I said the work on the rewrite of Copying Machine was in its final stage. Now almost a year later it still is, but I do have a new beta to share with you! I got a lot of positive feedback on the previous beta, thanks! In this new beta a lot of minor glitches have been solved. But also some new functionalities have been added, most importantly the 'document collections' as I call it. These collections make it possible to quickly save a document to a folder. Also the folders can be browsed in the advanced mode of Copying Machine. It took a while to develop, but it is very nice!

I also published the source code of this beta. See the sourcecode section on this website. I tried to add as much comments as possible in the source code. But I cannot say the code is very well documented. However, if you do have good additions or improvements then contact me. I would like to come in contact with you!

june 2008 - It has been a more than a year since the last update of this website. In the mean time I have put a lot of effort into a new version of Copying Machine. As I mentioned before, Copying Machine needed a rewrite and this took a lot of effort. The reason for the rewrite is that the base of Copying Machine was more than 10 years old, and the framework it was build on was no longer supported and simply getting out of date.

The work on the rewrite is in the final stage. There are still a lot of minor issues to be resolved and I still have some new ideas I want to put in there. You can imagine its is difficult to finish a project like that! But I believe the development is now at a stage that it is ready to show to you all. It is a first beta version so be ready for some bumbs in the road :-). But please try it out and let me know what you think about it...

I am planning to publish the source code, so all you enthousiast (like me) can see how I got things done. For me examples are the best way to learn and improve my skills. I think there are some useful examples in Copying Machine for you to see and learn from. And of course if have have any tips, improvements or additions for Copying Machine, then please contact me.

april 2007 - Quick fix Copying Machine (2.26) after WindowsXP update. Last night there was an update of WindowsXP. This update causes an incompatibility with Copying Machine. This incompatibility is so severe that Copying Machine will not be able to launch. I have made a quick 'fix' which you can download from the Copying Machine section. Actually it is not a real fix, it just disables all the Help inside the Copying Machine application. For now this will make Copying Machine launch normally again.
UPDATE: Microsoft made a hotfix for this problem too. It seems that more application had the same problem. You can find this hotfix at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448.

march 2007 - Small update Copying Machine (2.26). After a long long time I uploaded a small update of Copying Machine. The changes are small; two new commandline opties are added (/copies:n and /exit) and some very minor bug fixes. You can find the latest version in the Copying Machine section. New updates are on the way but they can take a while.
Copying Machine is almost 10 years old and the framework it is build upon is outdated. This is the main reason that the user interface needs an almost complete rewrite. It is also a good moment to see what kind of features Windows Vista has to offer. I will keep you all up to date of the progress!
