Lesser Kan and Li, the 'water and fire' meditation
formula is the core and beginning of the Taoist Internal Alchemy
in which the Original Spirit is developed and nourished.
The reversion and the coupling of fire (compassion energy from
the heart) and water (ching (sexual) energy from the kidneys and
sexual organs) produce a very fine, subtle energy, a vapor. With
this vapor we steam and clean all the meridians, the organs, the
glands, the spine and the nerve and lymphatic system. This
process repairs, opens and changes the body on a very subtle
level and can give birth to the immortal fetus (the fetus of the
Original Spirit)
