<<THE NAPOLEONS PLAY IMPOLITE GARAGE FEST #3!
That's correct... On Thursday, June 2nd 2005, Impolite Garage Fest No.3 boosts another great line-up, with hard-hitting Spider Rico, pernis-powered Beyond Lickin', raw-riffing Peptones, and er...
Well, the Napoleons are playing a handful of their tunes, too.
So all of you who dig garage sounds in various flavours, you can't go wrong if you join the party!
Click on the image on the left to visit the Impolite Website... if it's not up yet, it will be soon.

BUT BEFORE WE GET TO BEING SO IMPOLITE...:
The Napoleons will play live at local radio Stads Radio Delft, on SATURDAY APRIL 16 2005 (kickoff: 4 pm!).

This will be broadcast live from the Speakers café at the Burgwal. You get in for free, it's a pretty funny crowd.
You're welcome to scream and shout at appropriate intervals, drink beers, ask for 'Miffy' or other all-time faves, etc.
There's more than a fair chance that Sophie from 4For1 will join us again for our version of Dead Moon's "On Another Plane"!

Spaeking of radio, there are some excellent, recent live recordings of The Napoleons live at Radio West...
There's also a handful of acoustic songs played at Hit Rock Radio Westland a while ago, and maybe even some ancient crude live stuff recorded for Dalux FM radio in Wageningen, recorded at Unitas... know what? We may stitch some of that together and put a sleeve around it one of these days.
Too bad the show at LVC Leiden in January hasn't been taped.
It was in the main hall and hey indeed, we didn't use the PA system... just our own Vox gear.
Worked out fine - and even so fine that the hall's sound crew cheered for more!

<<THE NAPOLEONS MEET DR. REVERB!
Out now: the split 7" EP of The Napoleons with Dr. Reverb, a superb hypersonic surf combo from Zeeland. The Napoleons squeeze in 4 songs in 5 minutes: a quick instrumental called "Wigout!", a bold declaration of independence called "Bugger The Hi-Fi", the song "No Alternative Left", plus "Train To Whateverwhere". The latter features a contribution over the phone by Toody of Dead Moon. Seriously!
Dr.Reverb do two great songs, one vocal ("Je Veux En Plus") and one instrumental ("Gimcrack"), both of them with Eric as a guest musician on the Vox organ.
Like the previous 7" EP of The Napoleons, this new split record is mastered by Fred Cole and released on Tombstone Records.

Limited to 500 copies! Gatefold sleeve! A must-have!

<<LONG PLAYING RECORD No.1:
It may still be news to some people but most of you will know that the Napoleons have recorded a full length album, of which a pre-release CDr copy has had a review (in Dutch) in Fret magazine! It has become unlikely that the vinyl release of this one will happen soon - but we do not lose hope. Maybe it'll be released as a limited edition bonus CD to album #2, 'cos since these recordings, the band has grown enough to simply ditch this one and record a whole new album! Hell, why not!
It would be great to use this sleeve photo though...
