THE NAPOLEONS:
They come, see and conquer!

by Lt. Selmer, January 1998

(So fucking what if it wasn't Napoleon who used this phrase!)

Gotta admit... if you are looking for virtuoso musicians, you won't find them here! Primitive rock'n'roll is the word, with classic songs like "Jezebel", unexpected tunes like "Verzopen Vlinder" and originals like "Won't Give You Up". Okay, let's face it: the Napoleons will probably never become a seriously successful band. And that's fine, it's just that every now and then people get bored with slick 'acts' - and just want to wig out, right? Who needs big PA systems if you've got a pair of Vox speakers lined up for the vocals? Who says a guitarist needs three stacks of amps? And hey, who cares if a guitar is out of tune! Three more beers and nobody gives a shit..! As long as two outta three vaguely remember the chords and the words to the songs, it's just a matter of counting four and rocking out. "I'm Not Like Everybody Else"... "You're Too Much, Baby"... Call it sixties punk. Call it garage rock. You name it... Call it having one hell of a time or, know what? Skip the small talk, have another beer, and enjoy this remarkable combo! Now slowly scroll down...

Ah, so you found the "control A"-mode! Cool!

Wanna know some gory details? Fine! See below...:

Eric - lead vocal & guitar

Joke - bass guitar

Rixk - drums & vocal

All right - if you want to know the truth of it: the Napoleons SUCK, they never play one note straight and they're usually plain drunk on stage, but then again: fact is that lots of people love them just the way they are... maybe you will, too!
An EP is being prepared, so YOU be prepared..
