The Dutch Carnivorous
Plants Organisation "Carnivora" is an association for
CP hobbyists. The aim of the association is the exchange of knowledge,
experience and plants-materials between her members. Carnivora maintains
contact with her members by organizing general meetings and expositions.
This website is an important medium to communicate with our members.

Newsletter |
Our Newsletter is released
three times a year in April, August and December. The members and
the Committee deliver the content of the Newsletters.
The subjects are about plant descriptions, breeding guidelines,
book descriptions, agenda, exchange of plants, travel reports, addresses
of international nurseries and lots more...
|
 |
|
Meetings
|
At least twice a year
there are general meetings. The first meeting occurred mostly in
May. During the general meetings there is a lot of time to meet
members and exchange experience. At the same time the committee
organizes a CP plant market, so there is a good opportunity for
the exchange of plants and seeds. A presentation of CP plants and/or
travel report is always a subject of the meeting. The time and date
of the meetings are released in the Newspapers and on the "Agenda"
of this website.
|
|
Excursions
|
The Committee is organizing
excursions to (commercial)nurseries. During those events there is
a possibility for our members and also members of other CP organisations
to acquire Carnivorous Plants. Normally it isn't possible for individuals
to buy plants directly from the nurseries. The date and time of
these events are released in the Agenda of this website and in the
newspaper. If there is sufficient interest, the Committee will take
care of the transportation of members to and from the nursery.

CP
Network
|
Carnivora cooperates
with other CP organisation in order to exchange knowledge and experience.
Our members appreciate it very much if they know what is going on
in other CP organisations.
We keep tight contact
with the Belgium "Drosera" and the German "GFP"
organisations.
|
 |
| European |
Since the year 2000 we
are participating in general meetings at European level. The first
meeting in Bonn was an enormous success. All European CP organisations
were united in this annual European event. This is a good opportunity
to maintain international contacts.
Every year the united organisations will take care of a Plant market
with an enormous variety of CP's.
Of cause we keep you informed about the date and place of this annual
event.
