I was born in a small town in Gelderland in the
Netherlands, but my family soon gave up Beek for the metropolis
Purmerend (about 15 km. from Amsterdam).
So I grew up both in a village and in a city (although I remember
very little of Beek; I was almost two years old when we
moved).
My Current Job
I currently work at Guerrilla (creators of the
PS2 game Killzone) in the centre of Amsterdam.
My Interests
I love to race, drift, ski, juggle, ride my unicycle, ride my
motorcycle,
play guitar, play computer games (PC and
PlayStation 2), program (especially computer games) and watch
movies.
I'm an avid reader of fantasy and science fiction novels, but I
also read some fiction from time to time.
My favourite fantasy writers are David Eddings and Raymond E.
Feist, my favourite fiction writer (so far) is Wilbur Smith.
Other great books I have read or want to read are The
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, all books of
Calvin&Hobbes...
When I'm in the mood, I also like to watch TV. The programs I
watch most often are Friends, Home
Improvement, Jules
Unlimited (a dutch program), Top Gear, Klokhuis (also a
dutch program), Third Rock from the Sun.
My favourite movie at the moment is Amelie.
Yes, I was one of the lucky few that actually got a ride
(5 laps on the circuit of Zandvoort) in the Arrows 2-seater.
It's still hard for me to believe it was me, but the photos proof it.
