Flame bug fixed !!


The most annoying bug of RedBaron3d online player 
finally has been fixed.

Your plane can catch fire, ride it all the way 
until you crash; nobody gets thrown out of the server.

so why don't we use it all ?

this is the modified baronMMP.exe, works on 
Windows and Linux + wine
maybe even Mac windows emulators, 
if your Mac is not a M1 or M2 model...

this is the GUI landmark editor for redbaron3d. Both MMP and Single Play.

it ONLY runs on a linux desktop.

it is 2 downloads: lmedit-files.tgz and lmedit-program.tgz

put the lmedit program in the base folder where you unpack lmedit-files.tgz 
if you don't, lmedit will not work.


I have a more or less working version for windows. 
It it slow. very slow. i.e, it does not work very snappy on windows.
ask me for it.

warning :: 
I assume you know what the lndmrks#.dat files do and what the lo02####.dat files do.

all necessary lndmrks#.dat and loxx##??.dat and other supporting files come with this distro.  
unpack it to a folder of it's own, unpack lmedit in same folder and click to start it. 

thats all in terms of configuration..

what can it do in short: 
create, add, or change landmark files and add / change location files on a visual, graphical map of the maps / locations
both for Single Play as well as Multi Player.

Attention: IF you download the exe installer "install-rb3d-secure-player.exe.zip"

then please also install"rssplyr_and_patcher.zip" which contains a patched version: it puts cloud-kit.nl as a meta server 
in your mplayer.ini ( instead of a local IP address , which of course does not work.. )

 RSS player is capable of 2 things:

patch management : 

Easy managing patches for both single play and multiplay, 
both flight-model and non-flight-model patches. 
(skins, landscapes, season files, etc )
Just select and click "Turn on", and to uninstall, double click 
and click "Turn off". That's all there is to it.

It also automatically fixes the USB - soundbug in windows XP.

note: 
it does NOT manage TIME-BOUND patches for campaigns in single play 
Redbaron like the campaign manager found elsewhere on this page.


Secure online servers with non standard patches :
Completely secure checking modifications of players in multiplayer servers, 
booting players with incorrect patches.
Much more complete than e.g. RBST which only checks the flightmodel 
and damage model of the planes. RBST does nothing regarding landmarks, 
maps, terrain files etc. 
Big advantage of RBST is of course it does 
not need a player to install anything.

RFS ( Real Front Server ) is a patch that makes the 
frontline real in multi player servers:

AA, barbed wire, guns, tents, cars, tanks, balloons. 
The guns are life and firing on you if you are the enemy...
you have been warned :-)

you can have the realfront patch without rfs flightmodel permanently loaded. 
If the server does not have the AA etc on the mud, you will not have it either.

server operators ONLY need the lndmrks*.dat files
