D.I.K.O 2.01 (screenshots are with DIKO Gold, but this won't matter)

I created this simple tutorial so everybody can make his own KDVD's and or KSVCD's. I changed this totorial on 3 februari 2005 so it fits with DIKO 0.78 Beta 1. Also I removed CCE SP and start using FreeEnc so now you are using only freeware to encode you movie(s) :)

Setup D.I.K.O

If you don't want to use CCE SP because you don't have money, you can also select freeenc wich is free and included in D.I.K.O.	When you use Freeenc, you only have to select your working folder

With these settings, DIKO will create the complete DVD and will end with an ISO wich you can burn in your favorite burn software. Before encoding it asks you if you want to create a menu (with a button to DIKO menu creator)	Just play with these settings until you are satisfied with your DVD quality.

Use the bitrate you want, the lower you select here, the lower will be your sound quality although you will have more room for video so video quality will be better. I don't use virtualdubmod because it gives errors for me.	I select DVD subtitles here, they will be selectable when you play your DVD.
This is how i setup D.I.K.O, you can try some other settings. You can easily play with settings on the video and audio tab

Start using D.I.K.O
1. Select your movie and subtitles	2. Select your movie

Select your first movie, and click "Add another movie" for your next movie. After your last added movie, click "Start Conversation"	Click "Use DIKO MenuImage Creator", now DIKO MenuImage Creator will open, and you can make a menu very easy.

3. Create your menu

For movie pictures you can easily get them from Movieposter D.I.K.O Menu Creator is able to load images from http links, so you only have to look for good images on movieposter.com :) After you played with it, it could look like this. Also take a look at the "check for update" so you know you will have the latest version. After creating the menu, you wil have two files, one jpg and one png, D.I.K.O will now automatic use these two files :)
DIKO is now ready to start :) Now just wait a few hours.
