PELYBOX

Also known as the Lynn3D, the Pelybox is an almost forgotten box kite. Why I don’t know. It has very good flying characteristics and you can endlessly vary the shape. Cut it in half (only the top cell) and it will fly... add cells at the sides, top or botttom and it still will go up! It’s an ideal kite to experiment with, even more if you make it out of seperate cells that you can put together. The simplest addition is to make the front to back spars out of two pieces: say 70% and 30%. With little wind you can take out the 30 % piece and add it to the L/R spar and effectively increase the lifting aerea. The drawing contains all mesurements to build it, but also take a good look at the photograph, cause a lot of people get confused by the triangular sides of the boxes....
