E-volver
|
|
E-volver is an interactive 'image-cultivating-machine' that develops digital images through artificial genetics and evolutionary techniques.
This artificial evolution process is controlled like the natural process of variation and selection. The process begins with a "primordial soup"
(usually an incoherent tangle of moving lines and points and colored planes), and on the basis of the user’s personal preferences, this gradually
evolves into an intriguing and coherent image. Click on the images below to watch video fragments of three E-volved Cultures. In the LUMC Research building we realised four E-volver breeding-units, five large prints and a screensaver, in assignment of LUMC (Leiden University Medical Center) and SKOR, Amsterdam(Foundation Art and Public Space).
