Kristy is wonderful. I was not even around when she was on TV, I was born about a year after her show Family was cancelled, but I have a thing for retro TV. Anyways, I'm all about Kristy. People just don't come with that talent anymore, and I almost feel shortchanged because I have to deal with the (majority of) dumb dolls they have on TV now! Where's my generation's Kristy? I heard she was teaching in California. If she is, I hope she's showing them everything she knows, cause we really need it!! You go, girl!

Just surfed in. Kristy did have a natural gift as an actress. Too bad she is not acting today. I saw Kristy when they filmed "Little Darlings" in Georgia in 1979. Watched them film a few scenes which was fun. She is really petite in real life. Any current information on here whereabouts?

thanks for the magnetic attraction at 17 i hitch hiked all the way to l.a. to possible see kristy from san jose i got to monterey and had to spend the night then a trucker loaded with johny walker red whiskey stopped to check his tires and let me aboard his girlfriend gave him a heart of candies and he had one of the bottles in the cab and help eat the candy and i knew that heart was pushing me to her!!! bad guy i know well anyways i made it saw some shows as the audience saw get smart the red sanford hotel the playboy club the hollywood blvrd stars on cement and sunset strip beverly hills i even checked out a window at a mansion and saw pictures of mission impossible gang and spock. boy what mansions lived there in the back side yard of a house no one was home at and stoped at a 7-11 and missed her by a acouple a days i had an affair with a femail hitchhiker on the way back and the trucker bought us a 3 course dinner and motel thats where me and the girl hitchhiker got close i luckily got a ride with some african american couple who smoked me out all the way back to san jose wow what a blessing ill never forget the trip or the reason i went i just recently gotten a divorce my wife left me i have 4 beautiful kids and i want to go on with my life but i just want to know the teenage love of my life is married or available im a wanna be stunt man. I teach martial arts to kids. and recently a security gaurd im also a real clown makeup and all boy what ill do for kids i love it!and i find nothing to hard to do if you dream hard enough my other teenage girl friend i cant forget because of the song kentucky woman kathy underwood has gotten married and had little steve i met her while in the military i was 18 i got to go back near kentucky fort knox and found friends from my time at 14 and 15 spending summers at my uncles karate studio tell me where she lived and that was wow incredible but to me knowing kristys not married still and me being single has me in a kids dream again i like it but it sure would be nice to know if shes single or not so i can get over this puppy love or real love and go on so please answer this so her number one fan can stop letting her insationable magnetic draw help me find her or go on love her infatuated lifetime young love and admirer love chuck serious lol lol lol good luck kristy you go girl in what ever life brings !

There is no one that Kristy has touched more than me. As a child i was confused about my sexual prefrence, but knew right away i could not be straight when i seen Kristy. Kristy, I have admired you since I was teenager and like every show or movie you did. Yet, when I heard you were suffering from depression, I felt that I could now really empathise with you. I have been suffering from depression since my teenage years. There were times when I thought I was all alone and could never pick myself up. But fortunely, my family never gave up on me, and many friends and professionals help me to get myself focased. Though I have had some setbacks, I feel that I have learned much to able to cope and continue on in a positive direction. My sisters have been a major help when I found myself feeling down. Without their support, I don't think I would here now. This condition is very scary and setbacks are common, yet despite all the symptom we can all manage to work our way through them and find that there is still happiness in the world. For anyone who wants to buy Family episodes, they are some available on VHS (home recordings from a state in the South back in the early 90's) and now DVD, on eBay. The DVDs have commercials edited out and are presented in professional screen menu format. Just type in the name Kristy McNichol in the search box, and eBay's engine will bring up all of her stuff of interesting being offered to the public.

It is a real blast seeing Kristy in Family episodes! She was clearly not a teeny bopper actress -- but a very gifted dramatic actress - who doesn't appear to be acting at all.

Not having seen Family for over 23 years, it is quite a treat to see it again -- it was a very special show primarily because of Kristy, the writing, Aaron Spelling, and the cast. But Kristy really made the difference in this program being a success (1976-1980).

So, if anyone would like to purchase Family episodes, from home video recordings in the early 90's (the show is no longer syndicated) visit eBay.

And this is for Kristy -- I miss you so much!

Saw the BeeGees on a TV broadcast tonight and it reminded me of Kristy. I remembered the way she made me feel, as we seemed to be about the same age as I watched her shows. Thought I would brouse the web to see what may be new with her. I felt a part of me lost not knowing much about her current life away from Hollywood, how she is. She always had a smile that just made everyone want to smile back. A beautifull, vibrant woman. I miss you alot.

This site has alot of good pics of Kristy as I remembered her, as also alot of good links of pics and sound clips too. Some may not be of the best quality but Im not complaining, it feels good to just see some remembrance of her and her smile. Lifted my heart and for that I thank all those who participated.

Ugh.. whoever is doing this website needs new colors!!! This is not right. Any ways, I have been trying to download Kristy's songs, but I haven't had much success. I really think that her and Dennis Quaid need to do a movie again together. I play "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" all the time. I have a great idea for a sitcom I really want Kristy, in, however, I am not going to put it on this site. Before you even think I am full of crap, I will have you know that I wrote 2 stories that were TV series, and the latest one I wrote is still a TV drama on the WB. (Dawsons Creek - which is way too cheesy now) I KNOW I had these idea's first. However, right now I have a TV sitcom that I want you to star in with Matthew Porretta (The New Robinhood Adventures), which I KNOW will be a hit. Hey Kristy, if you ever read your guestbook, I want for you to know I've been collecting all of your magazine articles minus the US mags. I wanted to thank you for sharing so much of yourself and life with your fans, including myself. I only recently becams interested in you after a long hiatus from the 70's when I was more involved with your work, except for Only When I Laugh that I really loved you in. (I also recently saw you in Women of Valor that is my second favorite movie of yours).

I know many of your fans are a little frustrated you dropped out of the spotlight so quickly, but there is plenty of very interesting interviews you have left that you shared your personal life with so many as well as some great photos and movies.

I wanted to let you know that you are the woman of my dreams and that I regret how long it's taken me to wake-up and realize it. I was supposed to have met you, I'm certain of it. We have a lot in common based on what I've read and I've always wished I could have a friend to sing with who understands me and feels things deeply as I do. My dad is in the musical t.v. business, was a big name in th 50's, (Donny Osmond's heard of him) and was kind of a teen star too. I was supposed to have been a great singer, and loved Karen Carpenter but the business was just not my piece of cake because men had too much control over it and I had no brother to help me through it like Karen and yourself did.

As North Korea is pointing thir bombs at the West Coast, I wanted to let you know these things before I possibly die this year and also for you to possibly relocate temporarily to avoid the attack. I am not a religious person and don't believe in a "traditional" God, but I'm convinced you're going to a great place in the next life. I hope to meet you there, at least. I want to sing with you. I really can't stand religious fanatics, I'm just a free spirit as I've never been married. I haven't had a date in many years, and haven't been with a man since 1986. I could easiliy if I wanted to, but I'm really not in their world.

Kristy I know you are wanted by a lot of people and many men and women want you still, but I'm different from most of them. I've felt something that is eternal in my life and I feel you are part of what I've felt.

I probably will never meet you in this world, but I wanted to thank you and let you know you've reached me on a deeper level than any other artist and I deeply appreciate what you've shared with me in that form. You mean a lot to me, and i just hope somehow I can reach you as you did me.

Dear Kristy, I wondered what happened to you after "Little Darlings" was aired on one of the movie channels last night!

I became a fan when I first saw the TV series Family (GREAT series). Being a huge Karen Carpenter fan, I was happy to know that you two were good friends. I also enjoyed you and Jimmy in the Carpenters Christmas Special.

I always thought that you were an incredible actress, and loved your cool Tomboy image (no I am not Gay). It was nice to see one of "us" up there on screen -- just a regular no makeup, t-shirt, jeans, and crosstrainer wearing girl.

I do wonder what happened with you. I heard the rumours of a "chemical imbalance" (whatever THAT means), and would love to know why you are no longer working in the business. At least I haven't seen you in any projects lately.

I just got my "big question" answered from my last entry a few days ago when I got the 1989 People magazine interview of you in the mail yesterday. Thanks for being so honest in that interview. I believe you and not the rumours they put out about you. I no longer believe you were a manic depressed, chemically imbalanced person after reading that article. The "status quo" that sensed you wanted to break away from their "scripts" for you must have stereotyped you with it in order to keep you under control -- because most of us back in the 70's and 80's knew that you were the biggest turn on for us as girls and young women, that we had ever encountered in our lives! You were also a source of strength for me and others. Those in the mental health profeesion, homophobic as they are, really wanted to keep you under check because you had thousands of women in fainting spells.

So, they were just shoving scripts down your throat and you didn't feel you had the right to say "no" to any of them? I figured that was what had happened. I forgive you completely for all of thoese lousy roles you accepted!

Love you Kristy! -- Please don't forget there is an underground of women like me who really love, adore and swoon whenever we see some of your movies. Love you forever! Thanks for suffering through it all. I hope you feel it was worth it knowing the effect you've had on women like me!
