Hi everyone. What happened to the Jon Secada song titled "Angel?"
I really loved listening to the melody. I admit that it is nice to have
different music on this website, but I also think that Angel depicts a
lot of meaning for the magnificent actress behind which this website is

I just watched "Little Darlings" a couple nights ago for the
first time in years. A friend of mine and I used to watch that every day
after school on his Betamax VCR. We must have been in 4th or 5th grade.
I still remembered every line like it was yesterday. I thought Kristy's
tomboy was sooooo cool and sexy whan I was young. I think she played a
role in my turning out gay! btw I'm a guy.

I've been a fan of Kristy's ever since she was in "Family". She
is a great actress,I really miss seeing her in movies or on tv. I seen
"The Pirate Movie" 8 times when it came out,just to see Kristy.

I miss Kristy very much. In some ways, it feels like I lost someone very
near and dear to my heart. Kris taught me a lot about how to deal with

I though i would die when I saw Little Darlings. I fell head over heels
in love with Kristy. She embodied what I thought would be the perfect companion
for me at the time. Since I have married a beautiful woman the is much
like the Kristy Tom-Boy in Little Darlings. However, I remember the many
nights I sat at the Port Columbus Airport, watching the planes land, thinking
about how much I loved Kristy, crying to myself with the realization that
it would never be reciprocated.
I'm 38 now, have a very happy life and I love my wife with all of my
heart. Kristy, seeing a picture of her, hearing her voice, wondering what
she is doing, tells me that I will never get over the incredible crush
I had on her at 18 years of age.
It feels good to tell you of these thoughts that I have never shared
with anyone. In fact, I am a little weepy now.
I wish Kristy the best and I hope that her life is good. I hope that
she has finally found happiness. Kristy, you should know that as pathetic
as it sounds, there are people that love you because you shine through
the roles you play and there is no disguising who and what you are.
I,we love you. I/we hope that your life is happy and full.
I'm not a stalker, I have no intention of pursuing my enduring fascination
with Kristy. But I want to get all of the things I have thought of over
the years in the open.
I joined the Army in 81. I fantasized about showing up on Kristy's front
lawn in my Army khaki uniform, and Kristy falling in love me, as much as
I thought I loved Kristy.
As I grew older I realised that I had a crush on Kristy and was able
to get on with life. I met and married a wonderful woman.
But, As I look at your pictures of Kristy, the feelings I have for her
are rekindled. I fear I will always love her.
Thank You for providing a forum for me to express the feelings I have.
Damn, seeing the pictures brings back all the old feelings I had buried!

These are my disorganized thoughts:
It has been many years (at least 16) since I saw the Pirate Movie in
La Habana. That was a great emotional experience in my teenager years.
I saw that movie seven or eight times, and I´ll get the VHS copy
to see it for life. What a beautiful and amazing girl!!! Since then I carry
many neurons with that Kristy. I have to say that I´ve dreamed for
an opportunity to met her personally. With all my respect I want to share
these deep feelings: Kristy lit my life and I pray for seeing her face
and looking at her eyes before I die.

I find myself wanting to be alone quite a bit so i can fight my fears.
and fight situations that are too personal to mention over the enternet.

I've loved Kristy since I was very, very young. I've seen practically everything
she's done and I'm still fond of all of it!! That stuff is considered cheesy
today but between Kristy and Brooke Shields, my childhood was both memorable
and enjoyable!! They were my female icons of the time and both substantially

Age 36 (almost 37). I have many fond memories of Family and Buddy especially.
The older I get, the more I enjoy looking back at all the things that I
was interested in. I wish I had all of my hundreds of back issues of Teen
Beat, Tiger Beat, etc....
My friends and I are all long time Buddy fans. From time to time, we
talk about "Buddy" as if she actually existed. I would love to
watch old reruns of Family. Although Kristy has had many acting roles,
she will always be Buddy to us. The next time we all travel from the State
of Texas to Los Angeles to star search, it would be a dream come true to
meet Kristy -- even for just one short moment.

I think Kristy McNichol can make a good career as a Radio Dee-Jay. She's
already got a cute voice and she is pretty well-known as an actress, so
why not become a radio deejay for a station based in LA where she lives,
like radio KLOS? By the way, People Magazine archives have a profile write-up
on Kristy dated a couple years back. I've tried to look for more recent
info from LATimes but you gotta pay for their archives and somehow i haven't
been able to access that though i've tried several times. Lastly, to Kristy,
i wish you all the best -- you'll always be my favourite girl on TV.

completing my Masters degree to be a School Social Worker. In the past,
I have worked with physically and sexually abused youth and their parents.
When I found out about Kristy's involvement in Child Help USA, it really

I've been of a fan of Kristy's since her Family days in 1976. I have copies
of all her works. I joined her fan club in 1978 and still have the pack
they sent intact. I went with my friend to the Piraite Movie opening in
1982 and went back with her 10 times durning the run. Kristy was comming
to Palm Beach in 1983 we stayed at the Breakers Hotel for two days to meet
her and get a photo and an autograph. But she changed her tennis playing
plans.But through Kristys managment I did get a most prized photo and a
hand signed autograph in 1990. She was the best and in my book she will
always be. She has given all of us her fans so much over the years. What
ever she dose now or latter she has the support of her loyal Fans and I
know our Love. My best to her. And I look forward to her upcomming projects.

My favorite movie of all time is " The Night the Lights Went Out in
Georgia ". The only problem I am having is it is never shown on TV

Best wishes to all of you from afar. Well, what shall I say... I still
love the work of Kristy, especially her "earlier" movies up to
"Dream Lover" and mainly "Little Darlings" (or "Kleine
Biester" as it was called in Germany). Unfortunately over in Europe
we´ve only had the chance to watch part of her work (startiung with
episodes of "Family" in the late seventies). I remember going
back the years that I´ve always would have loved to meet Kristy -
just by chance... Whatever she´s doing now - I wish her all the best

Just recently lost my mom to cancer, this has left me reflecting upon alot
of my fond childhood memories. This site triggered a rush of sentimental
memories for me.I grew up watching HR Puff-n-Stuff,The Brady Bunch,and
the TV show Family,which my mom & I would watch together.While my older
sister , for Christmas received "pretend barbiedoll pastic high heel
shoes" I got Mr. Potatoe Head w/ his interchangable faces.The show
Family gave my mom the oppurtunity to point out to me it was ok to be a
girl and yet a tomboy like the character Buddy.It made it alot easier for
me to like wanting a Mr.Potatoe Head and a baseball glove, and always gave
my mom the chance to tell me so. So....I hold w/in myself fond memories
of things like,16 Magizine,the newest gum out caled Bubble Yum, and Kristy
McNichol,all of which in coming across this site,still makes me feel my
mom just as close to her as when her and I would sit in the tv room watching
Family together.Thanks for adding to all of those memories which continue
to still warm my heart.

Nest" first started airing, I wrote Kristy quite often. Her fan club
replied with the postcard that I later enlarged with a photo-copier, and
colored in using water-color paints & colored pencils. (The signature

As I'm typing this out, ONLY WHEN I LAUGH (OWIL) is on HBO2...and despite
a great movie made by everyone involved, the "big woman" will
disagree (or tell me to shut-up) that Glenn Jordan (the director of OWIL)
controled the worst editing job on Kristy's climatic performance as Polly
(McNichol) has it out with her mother (Marsha Mason) in Toby's (Joan Hackett)
bedroom.
But the film was a hit...and the rest is history.

March 8,2000 I saw a True Hollywood Profile on Miss Kristy McNichol that

Good site. Just one thing. If there is any truth that Kristy suffers from
bipolar depressive disorder, I would 'somehow' like her to consider revealing
it. (If false, the an absolute denial.) The reason I ask is not from morbid
interest, but from a point of view that people of her stature can provide
a lot of positive help in the recovery of ordinary people who suffer likewise.
Just the mere fact that Patty Duke came 'out' helped patients enourmously.
(Buzz Aldrin, Queen Elizabeth 11, Winston Churchill, etc) I realise it
could impinge on career, but in the main it would cost nothing in the sense
of money or time. It would be a morale boost to know and point out to others
that a person with such a disability can still be a useful, loved person
in society. It's not a crime to be bipolar (manic-depression) and having
it does not lead to crime or immorality. Kristy, if she is indeed a sufferer,
would be a benchmark to prove that point.

is a line I've heard hundreds of times since high school. I've always wondered
if she had heard that she had a twin either in South Carolina or TEnnessee.

I have enjoyed watching Kristy in all she does...I have some of her movies
and some are hard to find and some I can't get...My mom had some of her
stuff when I was a young girl and now that I have grown up, I am trying
so hard to get back what I had. I wished I could get more of her music
that I have. I only have My Boyfriends Back. I hope there is a way of getting
more :-). I would also like to say that it would be awsome if we could

i have loved kristy's work since i was a kid. her acting is very real and
she knows how to get into her characters head and become that person inside
and out. i am also a lover of her voice. i wish she would do alot of more
acting and signing so fans like myself could purchase more of her work.

I have always been a fan of Kristy's and was happy to come across this
site. My favorite work of Kristy's is the tv movie 'Summer of My German
Soldier'. I also liked watching her on Empty Nest. My mom especially like

I have been a fan of Kristy's since I was around 10 years old. I tried
to copy her hair styles, her singing voice and even tried to write left
handed for awhile! :) She was a positive influence on me in my teenage
years also. She remains one of my favorite actresses and will always be
someone I admire for the person that she is. I really miss seeing her in
movies and on television, but know that she continues to do great things
