CL QR3 - How the draw will work

UEFA has confirmed the draw procedure for the third qualifying round of the 
UEFA Champions League. 

Still to be resolved
There will be 16 matches involving 16 seeded teams and 16 non-seeded sides. 
As the second qualifying round has yet to be completed, there are 14 places 
in the draw for the winners of these ties. For example, second-round 
opponents FK Vardar and Legia Warszawa constitute one unseeded team for the 
purpose of the draw.

First team at home
The draw at 12.00 CET tomorrow will see a seeded and non-seeded ball taken 
from the respective pots and then shuffled in an empty bowl. The first team 
drawn from these two will be the home side for the first leg.

Compatriots kept apart
Teams from the same country cannot play each other, and if drawn together 
the club drawn second will be moved to the next match. If a clash occurs 
between the last two drawn, then the one taken second will be switched with 
the corresponding seeded or non-seeded team in Match 1.

High coefficients
There are four second qualifying round matches involving teams who will be 
seeded among the top 16. These are FC Dynamo Kyiv, who take on FC Pyunik, 
AC Sparta Praha, who meet FC Torpedo Kutaisi, Club Brugge KV, who play FC 
Dinamo Bucuresti, and Boavista FC, who will do battle with Hibernians FC. 
Regardless of who wins these ties, the victors will take their place among 
the seeds in the next round. 

Group stage incentive
The Champions League third qualifying round will take place on 13/14 August 
and 27/28 August. The winners of these ties will go forward to the first 
group stage where they will join the 16 clubs which gained automatic entry.
