Michiel van der Dussen (1600-1683). A member of a prominent Delft. Family, his occupation is unknown. He may have been born in the Brewery De Baars (The Bass) on Koornmarkt numbers 35-39. When he married Willemina van Setten in 1625 they lived on Bagijnhof. After they moved to Koornmarkt one of their children died in 1626. Before 1637 his wealthy family occupied two homes simultaneously: one was on the west side of Voorstraat opposite De Posthoorn (The Posthorn) from which he was buried. The other was on the west side of Oude Delft near Bagijnhof.

Michiel van der Dussen is the father in the family group portrait by H. van Vliet, now in the Prinsenhof Museum, Delft.
