Babel is a package that supports typesetting documents using TeX in languages other than English. It offers functionality to support the creation of documents that are written in more than one language. In such multi-lingual documents the typesetting conventions specific for each language can be adhered to.
Support has been added to the Babel system for an ever growing number of languages.
At the EuroTeX '95 conference which was held in Papendal, the Netherlands I presented a paper about the current status of Babel.
