Phrenic nerve: C3,4,5...keeps the diaphragm alive

(C3,4,5 are the spinal levels supplying the phrenic nerve, which innervates
the diaphragm. Breathing ceases when these spinal levels are damaged. We
were given this by one of our med profs.)

From: David Winsemius <dwinsemius#NoSpam.attbi.com>

C-3-4-5; keeps you breathing and alive
L-2-3-4; keeps the shit up off the floor.

Gene Aidan Johnson <gaj3#NoSpam.po.cwru.edu> gives a correction:
Its not L-2-3-4 its S-2-3-4 keeps your shit off the floor.

L-2-3-4 goes to the lumbar plexus, Sciatic nerve, Obturator and other
fucking nerves like that.
[Personally, I have no idea - Joachim]

I finally came up with one for remembering the order in which amino acids
come off of an ion-exchange column following complete peptide digestion.
The first sentence is what comes off and in what order, the second sentence
are the four acids that require other methods to detect.

"Drugs that Sara effortlessly pushes grant another very mellow illusion;
let your favorite heroes kill racists. No quitters can win"

Each word begins with the one letter abbreviation of the respective amino
acid:

D Aspartate T Threonine S Serine E Glutamate P Proline G Glycine A Alanine
V Valine M Methonine I Isoleucine L Leucine Y Tyrosine F Phenylalanine H
Histidine K Lysine R Arginine

N Asparagine Q Glutamine C Cysteine W Tryptophan
