One of the gaps in IIS3 is filled with this ‘File manipulation’ component. Sure it’s possible to read or write a file with a standard component, but there is no way to list all the files in a directory, create directories, sort or remove them.

In short this Filefunctions component offers the following functionality:

  • Retrieve a list of files including information like size and date
  • Sorting of files by several criteria
  • File copying
  • Delete files and directories
  • Create Directories
  • Rename files and directories
  • Move files and directories
All this functionality is offered in an easy to use Object Model.
