Anabela Marcos
Soprano
After
graduating from the Lisbon Conservatory, the Portuguese Soprano Anabela Marcos went to the There
she received a Performers Diploma in Solo Singing and a Certificate in
Baroque Singing. In the same period she finished a two-year Opera course at
the She
participated in masterclasses of Gundula Janowitz, Barbara Pearson,
Lorraine Nubar, Cristina Deutekom,
Jill Feldman, Elly Ameling
and Max van Egmond. She
sung several parts in opera productions, among which Pamina
("Die Zauberflöte), Suzanna
("Le Nozze de Figaro"), Titania ("Midsummer Night’s Dream", Britten), Clori ("L’Egisto", Cavalli), and Venus
and Cupid ("King Arthur", Purcell), Daphne (“Apollo en Daphne”, Händel). As a soloist, Anabela
Marcos worked with conductors like Ton Koopman, Sigiswald Kuyken and Michel Corboz. She works regularly with Jos van Veldhoven (Utrecht Barok Consort / Capella figuralis) and in opera productions of the Spanish
baroque orchestra Studium Aureum.
