The LA Synth Editor and Librarian manages a database of sound for your
Roland Linear Arithmetic sound module. You can store up to 10.000 sounds
in this database. All sounds can be edited and audited as you do so. Previous
versions of this Editor and Librarian were released as 'The Roland MT-32
Editor and Librarian'. Apart from the basic LA-Synth support for MT-32,
LAPC-1, CM-32L, CM-64 and GR-50 this newer
version also supports the D-110. You can receive dumps from your
synth and store the sounds in the database, and you can create your own
banks with sounds. This Librarian reads and writes these banks in standard
SysEx format, as used by CakeWalk(tm), Dumpmidi, Midiex, GetIt and many
others.
The GS editor lets you easily edit parameters of a Roland GS synth. Synths
in the SoundCanvas series are all GS compatible. Examples are modules
like the popular SC-55 and SC-155,
or the JV-30 keyboard. This editor reads
and writes dumps in standard SysEx format, as used by CakeWalk(tm), Dumpmidi,
Midiex, GetIt and many others.
