Personal

I was born at 09-05-1968 in Wormerveer,  I started playing the guitar (flamenco) at the of age 5. I'm half Spanish and learned a lot by watching my father (José Catalan, flamenco guitarist) play. At the moment I'm doing a lot of different stuff; I've got a recording studio (SubWave Studio/Avstudiowest) together with Jeroen van Hoof (great musician and good friend), I'm playing with various flamenco artists and doing session work for studio's and various artists (all-round stuff), producing and mixing various projects. 

Flamenco/Rumba with Miguel Perez (Sevilla), my father and self studies, Jazz/Fusion with Patrick Sedoc and Nick Vos, Rock/Blues/Funk by self studies.

1st Avenue 1987 - 1995 (Rock group, 2 cd’s), Cheb Ashraf 1992 - 1996(Rai fusion, 2 cd’s), Bayuba Cante 2001 - 2003 (World Music, 1 cd), freelance studio/session musician for Bolland and Bolland, VJR studio, Vinzzent, Jaap Eggermond (commercials), Imka Marina, Hans van Vondelen and various studio’s and artists. Flamenco/Rumba guitarist with Solera and various Flamenco artists, Workshops palmas Flamencas, Curra Suarez, Gaia Nostra and Jiga Voo.
