My company designs telecom products and have enjoyed using the web page you have put together. I noticed that you did not have any information on Teltone so I wanted to contribute to something that has been useful to me.
The Short company description is a "direct copy" from the IC catalog. They are one of the only makers of some specialized tone detectors/receivers in the market. For example, they are the only ones that produce a chip which does call progress detection based upon the frequencies received. (Other use energy detection schemes and time signal cadences - error prone).

The new Dutch chip manufacturer ThreeFive Photonics has collected 15.4 million guilders (about 6.4 million dollars) in a first financing round. Atlas Venture and Gilde IT Fund decided to invest in the Delft (Netherlands) based developer of new technology for optical chips. In january of 2001 the Gilde IT Fund already provided the capital for the start of the company. The chips of ThreeFive Photonics are based on indium phosphide instead of the generally used silicium. Because of this technology complete telecom systems can be build on a single chip. "This investment enabled us to finish the development of the Argo chip and preparing it for production", Wouter Deelman, CEO of ThreeFive Photonics responded. The co-founder wants to introduce a working prototype at the end of the year 2001. In 2002 the chip must be 'production ripe'.
