Short Bio

Francisco van Jole (1960) is a journalist, who specializes in Internet coverage. In 1995 he started the Daily Planet, a daily electronic newsletter in Dutch. The Daily Planet was voted the most popular online Dutch language publication in 1997. The total number of e-mail subscribers reached 30.000. Van Jole resigned as the sole Daily Planet editor on September 11, 1998.
Van Jole has a weekly column on the national radio programme 'TROS Radio Online' and co-hosts a monthly national television show about the Internet. Since 1990 he had been a contributor to and columnist for de Volkskrant, a major Dutch national newspaper.
Last year he founded, with Michiel Frackers, BitMagic
TM. This company aims to present a unique form of online entertainment.
