I dropped the traditional picots, just for a matter of taste. However, it appeared to be practical. When I bought the glass coasters after finishing the lace, two didn't fit very well. I could easily add and remove parts. Below the original variants of the last doilies.

Once knowing how to make Rosaline lace, designing is just a matter of arranging flowers. But making attractive designs does need some talent. That I discovered when I dropped symmetry. I judge the result less attractive.
