1995 LION DANCE CNCWS (*)

After the succes of the combined dragon and lion dance earlier this year, the CNCWS decided to repeat this exhibition at the Chinese New Year festival held at the Nieuwmarkt. This festival was used to draw the attention of the City council about the plans to build a Chinese Temple at the Zeedijk. This temple would be the first Budhistic temple to be build in Europe.

The Volkskrant displayed a photo of the dragon

The daily cartoon in the Volkskrant displayed was an artistic combination of the dragon shown earlier this year and the year of the Pig

Moreover, the cartoon one week earlier on Januari 31 (Chinese New Year) in the Volkskrant indicates that the Chinese community has the attention of the media
