Nederlands
AMSTERDAM (Neth.) - On Thursday-afternoon, May 29, the first game of the final 3-game series of the first half of the season will be played. It will be a decisive and tenseful series, as afterwards, we will know which two teams will have qualified for the Play-Offs in the first half.

League-leaders Vaessen Pioniers and L&D Amsterdam Pirates will meet each other the coming days in a series that will decide the qualification. DOOR Neptunus, which is the third contender and is in third place, plays against Mr. Cocker HCAW.

The top-2 places probably will be decided in the upcoming 3-game series. But it can also create a standing, which have no decision yet after the weekend and it then will be decided by the two make-up games next Tuesday-evening. And even those make-up games might theoretically create a situation in which the three teams end in a tie. In that case, the head-to-head results also will create a tie, making the runs scored by Pioniers and Pirates against each other in the upcoming series important.

So, on paper and theoretically and of course with the right combinations in the coming days, everything is still possible, which makes these coming days very interesting en exciting!

L&D Amsterdam Pirates, DOOR Neptunus, Corendon Kinheim and Mr. Cocker HCAW haven't changed the rotations they are using the last weeks.

For the first time this season, Vaessen Pioniers did change its rotation. Normally, a starting pitcher would take his turn in the rotation whatever happened, even in the situations of the many rainouts. Last Tuesday, righthander Elton Koeiman would have started the rained out make-up game, which made him the prime candidate to start on Thursday. Instead, Koeiman was moved to next Saturday and Pioniers will start on Thursday with lefthander Ricardo Hernandez Sanchez. The Venezuelan was scheduled to follow Koeiman in the order and so, he will remain the pitcher for Thursday.

UVV will use the same rotation as it used last week, while ADO Lakers only announced a starter for Thursday.

Mampaey The Hawks has inserted a new starter in its rotation for their coming series. Starting on Saturday will be righthander Danny Forte Salvador. The Venezuelan is currently on its way and is expected to arrive on Thursday-morning.

On Wednesday, it was also announced that the originally scheduled game between Neptunus and Pioniers for next Tuesday-evening has been moved to Thursday-evening, June 12. The game was moved to make room for the two games that rained out last Tuesday. June 12 was an available date, as there are no games scheduled in that period, as on Sunday, June 15, the annual All Star Game will be played in Hoofddorp.
