Brief visit Hensley Meulens to Netherlands

Hensley Meulens, the Hitting Coach of World Series-champion San Francisco Giants and the Manager of the Dutch National Baseball Team during the upcoming World Baseball Classic, is briefly in the Netherlands.
Meulens arrived today (Wednesday, January 16) and will be at the practice of the National Team in Haarlem later on the day.
Meulens primarily is in the Netherlands to have talks with players, who play in the Dutch Major League and get acquainted with them.
In October last year, Meulens was named Manager of the Dutch Team for the World Baseball Classic in which the Orange play the First Round in Taichung (Taiwan).
Current Manager Brian Farley will be the Assistant Manager.
Also in October, it was announced that former Major League-pitcher and Hall of Famer Bert Blyleven will be the Pitching Coach again for the Orange Team during the WBC.
Pitching Coach Steve Janssen also will serve in an assisting role.
On Thursday, January 17, the 28-man roster for the World Baseball Classic will be announced.
Several names currently circulate for the roster, most of them players who are active professionally in the minor leagues.
But also some of the players, who played in the Major League last season are mentioned, including pitchers Jair Jurrjens and Kenley Jansen, plus infielders Jurickson Profar and Andrelton Simmons.
In December, it was confirmed that outfielders Roger Bernadina (Washington Nationals) and Andruw Jones (Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles, Japan) will be part of the team when all participating teams had to announced two players who will be on their roster.
