Games rain out on Thursday, moved to Friday
Nederlands
AMSTERDAM / HAARLEM / ROTTERDAM / VLEUTEN (Neth.) - Despite predictions of severe weather conditions for the evening, all four scheduled games went underway on Thursday-evening, but all were halted within the hour and then cancelled definitively. All games have been re-scheduled for Friday-evening.

But as all games went underway, this means that some pitching rotations have been adjusted for the upcoming games. The only two starters that will come back in the same game are RHP Kevin Heijstek and RHP Laurens Oele, who will start again for DOOR Neptunus and AamigoO ADO Lakers, respectively. Their game was halted after the top of the first inning, while Oele was about to take the mound.

At Amsterdam, L&D Amsterdam Pirates led 5-0 vs. Mr. Cocker HCAW when their game was stopped in the bottom of the second inning. In the first at bat, Pirates scored three runs on singles by Roelie Henrique and Bas de Jong and a basesloaded walk for Bas Nooij. A single by Percy Isenia gave Pirates two more runs in the second inning, but shortly thereafter, the game was stopped. Amsterdam-starter Rob Cordemans had struckout three batters in the two innings he pitched in his first try to become the winningest pitcher in Dutch baseball history. Cordemans will continue the quest for his record-setting 151st career win next Tuesday-evening, when he starts at home against DOOR Neptunus.

At Haarlem, Corendon Kinheim led 4-1 vs. Sparta-Feyenoord when the game was stopped in the middle of the third inning. Kinheim opened the score with three runs in the first at bat on a 2-run double by Ramiro Balentina and a single by Roy Seltenrijch. A double by Mervin Gario accounted for the fourth run in the second at bat after Sparta-Feyenoord had scored a run in the top half on a sac-fly by Churandy La Cruz.

At Vleuten, UVV had taken a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning when their game vs. Vaessen Pioniers was stopped. In the second inning, Brian Biezen walked and scored when an error was made on a sac-bunt by Jirka Bliek. Moments later, Brennan Nijhof homered to make it 3-0. On Friday-evening, UVV's starting pitcher Jurjen van Zijl might start again.
