Common Gull L. canus

Pictures of a fresh juvenile bird, taken on January 20th 2001 near Wijster in the Netherlands. Probably like the fresh juvenile Herring Gulls L.(a) argentatus (e.g. in this page) they have a (very) northern origin. Note that this bird has 2-3 2nd generation scapulars, visible in the top picture.
