Linux Media Center

This project describes my homebuilt Linux Media Center. It's based on Ubuntu 6.10 desktop and uses MythTV for Media Center-ing. I wrote a small guide describing how my empty PC became a LMC. You can read the full guide to see how it's done.

X-Monowall Appliance 1.235 is here! VMware image using VMXnet

This appliance has been submitted to the VMware Appliance directory and was rated 12th in the contest. Please go to VMware to download (and rate!) this appliance or download the latest version (1.235) from this site. There's a brief description available of how to set it up.

Have fun with it! Suggestions are welcome!

Frameless, Tableless, Templated Webpages

If you don't like iframes or tables like me and still want a layout like most webpages out there, this is for you. It's a webpage design that uses the generally accepted layout and has a template design and is easy and simple to maintain.

Rsync backup for windows! (New version 1.04!)

Ever wanted a good backupscript that works? Use rsync and hardlinks on your NTFS USB backup disk and see how backups work for you! A real good backup solution for personal and small business use! It's based on the rsync backupscript from the well-known dutch and german computer magazine c't with a custom build graphical frontend by undersigned person (me ;)). Or get the files in one compressed archive.

Javascript menu

This is an example of how to create a fast and clean menu without any hidden divs or other way-too-fancy java-rollovers. I wrote this script out of frustration to all the other website menus out there that I think are way too big. If you need help, feel free to contact me (topright corner of this site).

CSS menu

This is another way to create a website-menu. It doesn't use any scripting at all. It just uses CSS to make rollover folding menus. Very nice work to whoever wrote it!
