La La La La
16 Karaoke stills from videos which were “realized by
semi-professionals without any care for the songs’ content to fit
the recorded images. The settings of those videos differ from
prison interiors, shopping malls, musea or parks. A B-series
female model is every now and then interfering in those settings,
taking sexy poses. To realize a first draw of selection L.A. went
through about fifty videos without ever listening to the music, in
order to concentrate on the combination texts/images. Freezing the
right combination involves a careful choice within the micro
seconds of a constantly moving image and evolving text. Out of
about the first draw hundred stills L.A. chose sixteen that she
found to be the richest in associative thoughts and interpretation
layers.” hard cover, 36 not numbered pages, 14,5 x 18,5 cm,

An
Internal Garden And An External Brain
“An Internal Garden and an External Brain” brings together
the photographs of Roxane Hopper
and the short fiction of Thomas
Hodge for a study of the transformative nature that light
has on a space when that room has been turned inside out (if for
but a moment). Each spread in the book is a pairing of color
snapshots of interiors (as reflected in mirrors, in televisions,
pushed through screens) coupled with the black & white paper
negatives pulled from the walls of these same rooms after adapting
each space into a camera obscura. Hopper’s non-narrative,
non-linear travelogue of light is punctuated by Thomas Hodge’s
gravity defying, hyperbolic short story Gorilla Hair, which was composed in Marfa, Texas
at the same Thunderbird Motel as described in the story.”,
photographs by Roxane Hopper, text by Thomas Hodge, soft cover, 96
not numbered pages, 20 x 25 cm, ed/500, (Chicago) 2007

Skabelon 43
“It’s requirements are
simple and general. A large flat surface and an applicable
medium. It needs qualitive dimensions to form a whole. Apply
pen in the outline form of the stencil. Type may be filled and
colored. Remove the stencil to reveal design. The idea of
public display comes from commemoration. No one is to be
honored. It exists with no apparent change to it’s structure.
The process is first and therefore the conclusion.”, a
booklike container holding four laser-cut steel stencil plates
with the latin alphabet, some punctuation marks, and the
