Rock Bottom June 2015
The bottom of this song is a 70's rock riff on my wine red Schecter through my Line6 POD HD together with a rock beat from my new BeatBuddy drum pedal.
To have a really big guitar sound for the chorus I recorded three guitar tracks and played the same chords.
One panned to the left, one in the middle and one to the right. Should be nice to have some vocals here, but instead, my JS1200 filled that gap.
My Cort bass and an organ from my Roland guitar synth joined the party. Let's rock...

Sunset May 2014
Didn't play my Joe Satriani Ibanez for some time (because it had a broken string and I'm lazy).
Recorded a drum, bass and guitar track last month a the song didn't have a solo track yet.
So I gave my JS Ibanez new strings and recorded a restful solo track and rediscovered the tone
quality of the JS1200. An organ and a tremolo guitar track complete the sunset.

String Surfer II December 2013
I composed and recorded this song 5 years ago and decided to record it again, because I like this song. But this time with more straight drums from my DR880 and using a real bass guitar. Also there is an organ in the background.

On A Dark Desert Highway... November 2013
The intro of 'Hotel California' (The Eagles)... I play it many times, but never recorded it. So I picked up my Strat with the GK3 element, connected the GR55, selected a nice acoustic guitar sound and played the chords on one track and an improvised melody on a second track. 'Acoustic' guitar only...
Guitar: Roland GK3 equiped Fender Stratocaster
Guitar Amp: Roland GR55
Synthesizer: Roland GR55

Telecasted! November 2013
A couple of weeks ago I bought my first Telecaster. I was in a small guitar store in Belgium and there was a Fender Telecaster on the wall. Tele's never looked very attractive to me (always liked more Strats), but OK, lets try. I was surprised by the sound. Rich harmonics with the bridge pickup, warm with the neck pickup. So different from a Strat.
Heavy distortion also sounds very well with the Tele, but this song is a relaxed song with clean sounds. All (3) guitar tracks were played using my new Tele. For the solo sound I used both pickups (pickup switch in the middle position). The others tracks are a BR880 drum pattern, a bass track played with my Cort bass and a background synth with my GR55.
Now I am 'telecasted'!

Hey Joe 2013 November 2013
Some years ago I started with playing drums, last year I started bass guitar and now I want to start with vocals.

Chic August 2013
This song is inspired by the tune from F. Jacobse and Tedje van Es. I always enjoy to hear that, and I was thinking maybe I should do something with that idea. The ritm is based on Chic's 'Cheer' and 'Le Freak'.
On all guitar tracks I used a Fender Stratocaster plugged into a Line6 POD HD desktop model, only for the 'Le Freak' ritm I plugged a Schecter Ultra into the Line6 POD HD.

No Nonsense June 2013 (MP3, 3.617kB)
The idea with this was to record bass guitar and drums together at once to have a well defined base and then see what is coming.
I also wanted to add some simple vocals... so, is it something, or is it nothing?

Brick In The Wall February 2011 (MP3, 5.262kB)
After a pause for almost a year it was time to make a new recording again. While playing the ritm chords of Pink Floyd's 'Another Brick In The Wall' (Dm7 - G and F - C- Dm) I thought, lets record that with steady and powerfull drums from my Alesis SR18. The vocal melody is played by two guitars each panned to the hard left and right where the left guitar is played one octave higher than the right. The end solo is just one guitar using the neck pickup instead of the pickup at the bridge. The chords are also played by an organ on the backgound. All guitar tracks where played with my black Ibanez plugged into a Line6 POD HD500.

Wonder Why December 2009 (MP3, 7.481kB)
Worked on this song for more than a month, because I want to improve and make a song with a theme to be satisfied about. I used three different guitars. My black Ibanez for the opening solo and distorted power chords starting from the middle of the song. My red Ibanez for the acoustic guitars and the last electric solo. My Les Paul for the second solo for the warm, clean jazzy sound.
Drums: Roland TD9KX drum kit

Blues From 'The Part' October 2009 (MP3, 6.305kB)
Straight forward rock blues build around some free style solo guitar playing only. After making the song complete I re-recorded the free style solo playing to fit the song. And... this is the first time I recorded slide guitar, which I use in the solo at the end.

Guitar: Fender Stratocaster
Amp: Marshall JVM410 head
Piano/flute: Roland GR-20 guitar synthesizer

Wilderness October 2009 (MP3, 6.504kB)
Composed a simple guitar melody and four acompanying chords (Em/D/G/C) which is the theme for this song. It has two acoustic guitars (chords and lead) and two lead guitars (chords and lead). All played on my black Ibanez plugged into my Boss GT-10 (on which I discovered a cool acoustic sounding preset).
Again... guitars and drums only!

Earth September 2009 (MP3, 4.743kB)
Recorded this song in May 2007 but was never satisfied about the guitar solo tracks. Just stumbled upon this song again during cleaning up the hard disk of my recorder. I liked it except the solo work. So did a new attempt for the solo guitar with my black Ibanez Prestige which has a good sustainfull sound. Plugged it into my Boss GT-10 guitar processor. This time the drums come from a Boss drum computer, because I like these drums and I'm still not able to this myself so well. :)

LT Enigma August 2009 (MP3, 3.909kB)
Mysterious synth sounds introduce the piano which floats on a carpet of voices all carried by drums and bass. The guitar just listens... to learn the melody played by the piano. At the end the guitar shows what he has learned from the piano.
Thanks go to my friend Susana who initiated this project. Her LT Enigma painting artwork formed the inspiration source for the music.

Strange Kind June 2009 (MP3, 3.940kB)
Sunday morning. Playing some Deep Purple stuff on my Strat Highway1 and Marshall DSL401 combo. I had a good 'Blackmore' sound and got the idea to record some 'Strange Kind Of Woman'. One of my favorite songs of my favorite rock band form the 70'ties.
So... dialed a bluesy ritm in my Alesis SR18 drum machine and recorded that together with the ritm chords. Then I recorded a single notes ritm track and the solo track. Panned both ritms to left and right and the solo to the middle. Finally I replaced the Alesis drums with my own drums, did the mix and mastering and was finished before lunch time. Guitar and drums only...

Sunrise May 2009 (MP3, 5.093kB)
Leaving the blues for now and moving on to a different style.
Clean chords with a slight chorus from my new favorite chorus pedal: the Hardwire chorus from Digitech. These were the base of this song. I was playing these for some time and it was about time to record them.
It starts with these chords only, played on my Strat Hightway 1. Gradually more instruments join the party, building the song up to a climax, which is a solo played on my black Ibanez Prestige to let the sun break through and shine in its full brightness.
Drums: Roland TD9KX drum kit
Guitar (chords): Fender Stratocaster Highway 1

Red Blues April 2009 (MP3, 5.416kB)
Still got the blues... This time an organ accompanies the guitar. I tried real hard to avoid playing the whole song full with solo instruments and tried to listen to comments from listeners :) Thanks folks!

Sunday Morning Blues March 2009 (MP3, 4.832kB)
Feeling blue with some nice and relaxed special blue blues for Sunday morning. Played solo guitar with my fingers in stead of using a plectrum. Jeff Beck style!
Drums: Roland TD9KX drum kit

My Favorite Color Is Blue March 2009 (MP3, 4.305kB)
Tried to record a Blackmore like Fender/Marshall sound with my Marshall DSL401 combo and a light overdrive from my Blackstar DS-2 stomp box. The song is not in a specific Blackmore style, but has, what I called, a blue sound. It is driven by a steady ritm and has its main influences from blues and rock. Also played drums on my Roland kit.

No guitars this time. One instrument only. Going to hit my Roland TD9 kit!
Drums: Roland TD9KX drum kit

Into The Blues February 2009 (MP3, 3.598kB)
Normally my songs start with recording the ritm tracks like drums and ritm guitar. Those ritm tracks are the base for the timing for the rest of the instruments.
This time it happened the other way around. Was just playing some free style blues on my Strat without any accompanying and recorded that. Then I recorded two ritm guitar tracks and finally the drums.
Drums: Roland TD9KX drum kit
Guitar: Fender Stratocaster Highway 1
Amps: Marshall JCM2000 DSL401 with Blackstar DS2 overdrive/distortion pedal in front
Recorder: Boss BR-1600 recording studio

King Of The Highway February 2009 (MP3, 4.810kB)
Time for some rocking with drums and guitars only. I upgraded the software of my Roland BR-1600 recording studio and has a couple of base amp models now, so I played bass on my Ibanez SA160 guitar and used one of those base amp models. All guitar tracks are played with my Ibanez SA160 thru my Boss GT-10 guitar processor.
This time I didn't play the drums myself, because I needed a fast and tight ritm for this rock song. I'm still not that good, so... I let the Alesis SR-18 (successor of the famous Alesis SR-16 from the '90ties) do the job.
Drums: Alesis SR-18
Base: Ibanez SA160 thru a bass amp model from the Boss BR-1600 recording studio
Guitars: Ibanez SA160

Cry January 2009 (MP3, 5.053kB)
This one started by playing some nice sounding chords, that I had in my head for some time, on my Strat plugged into a Line6 Pocket POD. I plugged the Pocket POD into my Roland recorder together with my new Alesis SR-18 drum machine to record the base to work on, followed by bass and synth tracks. Solo's were added to make it complete: electric guitar solo's with my Ibanez RG1570 thru my Boss GT-10, piano solo with my Strat thru my Roland guitar synth and acoustic guitar solo with my Crafter CT125 thru my Roland AC90 acoustic guitar amplifier. Finally I replaced the drums from the Alesis drum machine with my own drums on my Roland TD9 kit.
Drums: Roland TD9KX drum kit
Strings, piano, bass: Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer
Guitars: Fender Strat, Ibanez RG1570 Prestige, Crafter CT125

2008

String Surfer December 2008 (MP3, 5.698kB)
Wanted to make a new rock song for some time, but just didn't got the right inspiration. But my new Ibanez RG1570 Prestige electric guitar gave me that inspiration. Plugged into my Boss GT-10, I got the sound of Tamas (Szekeres), a very talented Hungarian guitarist, a real string magician. I finally got that sound now!
This song is inspired by Tamas/Satriani ballads and was driven by a melody from my head in stead of my fingers. Besides the Ibanez my new Roland TD9 drum kit makes his debut in this song.

Lazy November 2008 (MP3, 5.324kB)
A relaxed swinging ritm played with drums, bass, ritm guitar and organ, completed by solo guitar inspired by the song 'Lazy' of my favorite rock band of the seventies Deep Purple. Simply played the bass track on my Strat through the JMP-1 and did some eq-ing in the mix to let it sound like a bass. Played drums on my Roland HD-1 kit again.
This time I completed the song with a pre-master after the mix.
Drums: Roland HD-1 drum set
Guitar/bass: Fender Stratocaster
Amps: Marshall JMP-1 preamp plus tc electronic G-major
Organ: Korg X50 synthesizer
Recorder: Boss BR-1600 recording studio

Big River September 2008 (MP3, 3.585kB)
Time for some ritm blues where guitar and drums are the main instruments.
Played three bluesy guitar tracks with my Strat plugged into a good 'old' Line6 POD V2.0 guitar amp modeler. Two different ritm tracks, panned hard left and right, and a solo track in the middle. A piano solo, bass and a sax track were also played on my Strat using the GK3 pickup connected to my Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer. Played the drums myself on my Roland HD-1 drum kit.

Low tide seagull August 2008 (MP3, 4.717kB)
This relaxed song started by playing one of my favorite jazzy chords accompanyed by my Boss DR880 drum machine. I had a relaxed song in mind, something like a ballad of Stevie Ray Vaughan. I like chords with a tremolo effect, so I used a tremolo effect with the jazzy chords. Accompanying tracks organ, guitar wah and (guitar) synth track made the base complete. On top I recorded a clean guitar solo track with a regular returning theme. Since I prefer to play every instrument myself I recorded the final drums by playing my Roland drum set.
Thanks go to my friend Susana for her contributions to this song.
Drums: Roland HD-1 drum set
Bass: Fender Stratocaster equiped with Roland GK3 pickup thru a Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer

Adagio May 2008 (MP3, 2.467kB)
This is a small song based on Albinoni's classical piece 'Adagio' played with piano accompanyed by voices and orchestra. All played on my Korg X50 synthesizer. In the second half I played cymbals on my Roland drum set.
I recorded this in March but I like this myself very much and, although it's not a guitar song, have to publish it on my website.
Gear: Korg X50 synthesizer, Roland HD-1 drum set and Boss BR-1600 recording studio.

Miraculous March 2008 (MP3, 5.340kB)
I'm still in the Pink Floyd mood. It started by trying some 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' chords on my Korg X-50 synthesizer, but it turned to be into something that has more to do with 'Miracles' from the Roger Waters album 'Amused To Death'.
I played the drums on my HD-1 drum set. Pads, voices and piano on my X-50 synthesizer and guitar and bass on my Strat. For the bass I used the octaver from my G-major to shift the tone one octave down.
Gear: Roland HD-1 drum set, Fender Stratocaster, Marshall JMP-1, tc electronic G-Major, Korg X50 synthesizer and Boss BR-1600 recording studio.

Us And Them February 2008 (MP3, 8.924kB)
David Gilmour played some beautiful chords on the album 'Dark Side Of The Moon' of Pink Floyd. A good example is the song 'Us And Them'. I like those chords so much, I had to record that song once.
Just started by recording the drums and guitar chords at the same time where the guitar chords went through an MXR Phase90 phaser pedal. Bass, organ, synth and sax tracks were added one by one, all played on my Fender Strat plugged into a Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer.
Gear: Boss DR-880 drum machine, Fender Stratocaster, Marshall JMP-1, tc electronic G-Major, MXR Phase90 EVH phaser, Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer and Boss BR-1600 recording studio.

Every breath... February 2008 (MP3, 4.848kB)
In the early 90's I recorded the tune from 'Every Breath You Take' of 'The Police' for the first time. Very basic. Only a stereo drum track (using an Alesis SR-16) and a stereo ritm guitar track (using a Strat, a Marshall JMP-1 and an Alesis QuadraVerb GT).
It has always been one of my favorite tunes to play and now, about 15 years later, I recorded it once again. Besides the basic drum and ritm track, I played bass, piano, synth and solo tracks. This time I did the drums myself on my Roland drum set. Piano and synth tracks were played using my Roland guitar synthesizer and Strat equiped with a GR-3 element.
Gear: Roland HD-1 drum set, Fender Stratocaster, Marshall JMP-1, tc electronic G-Major, Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer and Boss BR-1600 recording studio.

Stratobossa January 2008 (MP3, 4.596kB)
Playing around with my new Korg X50 synthesizer, I discovered a nice piano and played some jazzy chords. 'That sounds pretty good!'. 'Let's find a percussion pattern on my Boss DR-880...'. Very soon I found a bossa nova pattern that suits the piano chords. I added an organ, a ritm guitar with tremolo, a bass and finally a solo guitar with a clean Fender amp with a little echo selected from my Line6 POD modeling amp. For ritm guitar and bass I used my Marshall JMP-1 and tc electronic G-Major. All guitar/bass tracks where played on my Fender Stratocaster.
Gear: Korg X50 synthesizer, Boss DR-880 drum machine, Fender Stratocaster, Marshall JMP-1, tc electronic G-Major, Line6 POD V2.0 and Boss BR-1600 recording studio.

2007

Oye Como December 2007 (MP3, 3.085kB)
This song is one of that songs that come out of nowhere without having an idea in mind to start with. Exploring my new Korg X50 synthesizer for the very first time I stumbled upon a very nice organ. So I started to record a drum track for the base ritm and added an organ track playing simple chords and some of Santana's 'Oye Como Va' notes. After that I recorded solo organ, bass and solo guitar tracks. At the end I played the final drum track on my Roland drum set.
Gear: Roland HD-1 drum set, Ibanez SA260, Marshall JVM head, Blackstar DS-2 distortion, Korg X50 synthesizer and Boss BR-1600 recording studio. No drum machines again!

Smoke December 2007 (MP3, 2.847kB)
For a long time I played all instruments myself on my recordings... except the drums! They always came from drum machines. But I got myself a Roland HD-1 drum set recently.
So I just started where I started the guitar by playing a song that was played by my favorite guitarist at that time. The song was made in Switserland and is called... 'Smoke On The Water'.
Gear: Roland HD-1 drum set, Fender Stratocaster, Marshall JVM head, Blackstar DS-2 distortion, Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer and Boss BR-1600 recording studio. No drum machine this time!

Swing Time December 2007 (MP3, 3.626kB)
A swinging ritm with drums, bass, guitar and trumpet supported by organ forms a base layer in this song. On top a solo guitar that completes it, comes from my Marshall JVM head with my new Blackstar DS-2 distortion pedal in front. This new (valve) distortion pedal realy beats my old favorite Boss DS-1!
Gear: Fender Stratocaster, Line6 POD V2.0, Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer, Marshall JVM head, Blackstar DS-2 distortion, Boss DR-880 drum machine and Boss BR-1600 recording studio.

Theme from the Crunch September 2007 (MP3, 3.498kB)
The base of this song where 3 crunchy chords played on my Lag Roxanne over a Marshall JCM2000 DSL401 combo with a Boss DS-1 in front. The same chords are played on another track, but now clean with chorus and panned to the opposite position. Over those chords I played a short lead guitar theme that returns continiously. Bass and synth tracks where played using my Roland guitar synthesizer. Drums comes from my Boss DR-880 drum machine again.
Gear: Lag Roxanne, Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer, Marshall JCM2000 DSL401 combo, Boss DS-1 distortion, Boss CH-1 super chorus, Marshall EH-1 'echohead' delay, Marshall ED-1 'The Compressor', Boss DR-880 drum machine and Boss BR-1600 recording studio.

Catch the A August 2007 (MP3, 3.226kB)
This song is inspired by the intro in 'Catch The Rainbow' from the live album 'On Stage' of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, and by 'Air' from Ingwie Malmsteen's album 'Attack'. All guitar tracks where played on a Statocaster plugged into a Boss GT-Pro guitar processor.
Gear: Fender Strat, Boss GT-Pro guitar processor, Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer and Boss BR-1600 recording studio.

JVM Blues August 2007 (MP3, 3.450kB)
No guitar amp modeling this time. This song started by playing a bluesy ritm over my new Marshall JVM401H head (speaker emulation output). The distortion comes from a Boss DS-1 distortion pedal. Organ and trumpet/sax accompanying tracks where added using my Roland guitar synthesizer. Drums are from my new Boss DR-880 drum machine.
Gear: Fender Strat, Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer, Marshall JVM401H head, Boss DS-1 distortion pedal, Boss DR-880 drum machine and Boss BR-1600 recording studio.

2005

Pink Castles May 2005 (MP3, 1.344kB)
This song is based on a short acoustic Pink Floyd song from 'The Wall'. I added some violin and Malmsteen to it. The violin comes from my GR20 guitar synth and the Malmsteen sound from my PODxt Live which contains a very nice Marshall JMP1 preamp model!
Gear: Fender Strat, Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer, Line6 PODxt Live, Boss AC-2 acoustic simulator pedal, Alesis SR16 drum machine and Boss BR1600 recording studio.

The Pub May 2005 (MP3, 2.237kB)
Don't know where to put this style, but may be it has something to do with jazzrock or fusion. Anyway, I can't remember that I played something like this before. It all started with a funky guitar ritm from my distorted Marshall JMP1 preamp with a Dunlop RotoVibe between guitar and preamp, accompanied by the Alesis drummachine. Then I played a piano track, bass track, another piano track and a muted trumpet track. Just with my strat and GR20 guitarsynth. And finally I played a guitar solo on my Ibanez SA160 into the JMP1.
Gear: Fender Strat, Ibanez SA160, Marshall JMP1 preamp, tc electronic G-Major, Dunlop RotoVibe, Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer, Alesis SR16 drum machine and Boss BR1600 recording studio.

Synthana March 2005 (MP3, 3.164kB)
The base here is are waves from a Korg Triton LE synth and a drum pattern from an Alesis SR16 completed with guitar ritm and chords from a Strat plugged into a Yamaha DG Stomp modeling amp. For the guitar chords I used the rich and warm chorus from the DG Stomp and put a chorus from a Line6 MM4 in front of it. On top of that you can hear a muted trumpet solo from a Roland GR20 and guitar solo's from a Line6 PODxt Live.
Gear: Lag RX100 guitar, Korg Triton LE synthesizer, Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer, Yamaha DG Stomp modeling amp, Line6 MM4 modulation modeler, Line6 PODxt Live, Alesis SR16 drum machine and Boss BR1600 recording studio.

St.Guitar January 2005 (MP3, 2.596kB)
Again an Andy Summers like ritm guitar accompanied by synthesizer chords from my new Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer and voices from a Korg Triton LE synth. The sax solo comes also from the GR20 and sounds pretty realistic. The guitar chords and solo was done with a Fender strat plugged into a Line6 POD2. All recorded using my new Boss BR1600 recording studio.
Gear: Fender Stratocaster, Line6 POD version2, Roland GR20 guitar synthesizer, Korg Triton LE synthesizer, Alesis SR16 drum machine, Boss BR1600 recording studio.

2004

NeoClass April 2004 (MP3, 3.083kB)
In this neo classical song, I use the Yngwie Malmsteen sound again, starting with a quite large intro and followed by a more heavy part.
Gear: Fender Stratocaster, Marshall JMP1 tube preamp with tc electronic G-Major in effect loop, Korg Triton LE synthesizer, Alesis SR16 drum machine, a Zoom MRS1266 recording studio and tc electronic M300 for ambience in the guitar sound.

Chorus D6 March 2004 (MP3, 2.388kB)
In this song a slow guitar ritm colored by a rich chorus together with a synthesizer form a carpet for this relaxed guitar solo song.
Gear: Fender Stratocaster, Yamaha DG Stomp modeling amp, Line6 MM4 modulation modeler, Korg X5 synthesizer, Alesis SR16 drum machine and Zoom MRS1266 recording studio.

YJM-blues March 2004 (MP3, 4.219kB)
In this song I applied the Yngwie Malmsteen sound in a slow blues. The Malmsteen solo sound comes from a Fender Strat plugged into a Marshall JMP1 with a tc electronic G-Major in the effect loop for compression, filtering, delay and reverb.
Gear: Fender Stratocaster, Yamaha DG Stomp modeling amp (ritm guitar), Marshall JMP1 tube preamp with tc electronic G-Major in effect loop (solo guitar), Korg X5 synthesizer, Alesis SR16 drum machine and Zoom MRS1266 recording studio.

2003

NewJazz November 2003 (MP3, 4.238kB)
Song based on my favorite jazz chords using a Zoom MRS1266 digital recording studio. The song contains drums, bass, guitar as well as organ and piano tracks.
Drums and bass tracks were created by programming the internal ritm machine of the MRS1266, guitar tracks were recorded real time using a Strat and the internal VAMS guitar amp modeling and organ and piano tracks were played with a Korg X5 synthesizer.
Gear: Fender Stratocaster, Korg X5 synthesizer and Zoom MRS1266 recording studio.

AltFunk October 2003 (MP3, 3.314kB)
A mix of funk and rock. Lenny Kravitz like ritm with four guitar solo's. In the last solo I use a good old Eddy Van Halen sound.
Gear: Fender Stratocaster, pc with Line6 'GuitarPort' as guitar amp and Cakewalk 'Guitar Tracks Pro' as recording tool.

Classic Trio Demo August 2003 (MP3, 352kB)
This is just a short demo of classic guitar music I planned to work on.
Gear: Fender Stratocaster, pc with Line6 'GuitarPort' and Cakewalk 'Guitar Tracks Pro'.

ShortAndHeavy August 2003 (MP3, 1.313kB)
Time for something short and heavy created with 'Guitar Port' and 'Guitar Tracks Pro' on my pc. Only guitar and drums...

Summer August 2003 (MP3, 3.917kB)
A 'Police' like ritm created with 'Guitar Port' and 'Guitar Tracks Pro' on my pc were the base of this song. The additional tracks are guitar solo (Guitar Port), bass (guitar + octaver from a tc electronic G-Major) and synthesizer (Korg X5).

Sanjay July 2003 (MP3, 3.079kB)
This song is a mixture of reggae and Santana like guitar sounds.
The basic tracks of this song where made by colleage Sanjay on pc. These tracks contain drums, bass and keyboard (piano and sax).
My contributions were four guitar tracks made on a Zoom MRS1266: acoustic ritm, electric ritm with flanger, acoustic solo and electric solo with wah.

U1 May 2003 (MP3, 4.982kB)
Inspired by U2, I recorded this song, again using the Marshall JMP1, tc electronic G-Major and Dunlop CryBaby 535Q wah.

RainbowShadow May 2003 (MP3, 2.071kB)
The chords in this song come from the intro in 'Catch The Rainbow' from the live album 'On Stage' of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, while the solo is inspired by Shadows guitarist Hank Marvin.
The tc electronic does a great job here with it's crystal clear sound, applying compression, delay and reverb.
Of course, this was played on a Fender Stratocaster.

Funck May 2003 (MP3, 2.222kB)
This funky song is recorded on a Zoom MRS1266 digital multitrack recording studio using a Fender Strat and a Marshall JMP1 preamp with an tc electronic G-Major in the effect loop (chorus and reverb).
I also used a Dunlop CryBaby 535Q wah pedal in the solo.
For the bass track I used the octaver from the G-Major to lower the pitch one octave.
The drums are done by an Alesis SR16 drum machine.

Legato January 2003 (MP3, 1.910kB)
I recorded this on my computer using Line6 Guitar Port and Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro.
The drums are drumloops that came with Cakewalk and all other tracks were played by myself on a Fender Stratocaster.

2001

Eruption September 2001 (MP3, 370kB)
Piece of Van Halen's eruption, using a strat followed by an Ibanez Tube King, to make the strat single coil pickups sound fatter, and (of course) an MXR phase90 phaser and a Boss DS-1 distortion pedal. This went into a Marshall JMP1 using the speaker emulation outputs. A t.c.electronic G-major was in the effects loop to add some delay and reverb.

Toccata January 2001 (MP3, 599kB)
This is a take that was inspired by Bach's Toccata.
I played this with a Fender Stratocaster into a Digitech 2120VGS, using the 2120's dual pitch shifter (original tone and two additional tones of 1 and 2 octaves down), some reverb and the internal speaker simulator. I replaced the 2120's internal preamp by a Marshall JMP1.

1997

Jazzz December 1997 (MP3, 1.522kB)
I like these kind of jazzy things.
With this, I used a strat into a Digitech 2101 with an Alesis QuadraVerb GT in the effects loop, which had a Marshall JMP1 preamp in it's effects loop. I direct recorded it using the speaker emulation outputs of the Digitech 2101.
An Alesis SR-16 did the percussion.
