Travel in chauffeured luxury in a classic 1951 Mk V Jaguar, from Melbourne, north to the spectacular central highlands, stopping for lunch in historic Beechworth. Enjoy the country air, stunning mountain scenery, colours of the seasons and typical Australian vegetation, as you journey to the historic Mt Buffalo Chalet. Whilst there, you'll feel like you're in heaven. Escape to the solitude of the mountain's rocky plateau, join in the laughter of the other guests in the dining room at dinner, supported in the leather lounge chairs while marvelling at the outstanding panoramic view. Escape, indulge and enjoy one of life's most romantic experiences.

SUGGESTED ITINERARY*

Day 1
You shall be collected from your hotel/cruise/accommodation at 09.00 hours.
We will travel via the back roads to Mt Buffalo stopping for lunch** on the way at a winery or other selected destination. The opportunity exists to visit historic Beechworth, Millewa (right in the heart of the north east wine region) or perhaps the vintage aircraft museum at Wangarratta (home of the largest fleet of airworthy vintage aircraft in the world). An opportunity exists for you to fly from Wangarratta to Bright right over the top of Mount Buffalo***
After lunch we will make our way up the mountain to The Chalet where you can settle in with tea or champagne in the lounge. Meals at Mt Buffalo are a very social occasion in the grand old dining room. The approximate arrival at the Chalet is 15.30.

Under a carpet of snow or a tapestry of wildflowers, Mt. Buffalo National Park is breathtaking in all seasons. Cool mountain streams, wildflowers, shady walks, and sunny snow grass plains set the scene for a range of activities for you to enjoy. Back at the Chalet, summer means tennis and croquet, lazing around the salt water pool, a good book in the gardens or a long drink on the terrace watching the colourful hang gliders circling overhead.
The Chalet also has a wide range of activities for the experienced adventure seeker, activities range from hang gliding, rock climbing, abseiling, caving, fishing, canoeing, bushwalking, picnicking, lazing around in the sun or feeding the Crimson Rosellas on the verandah.

Day 2
An early country style breakfast before the Chalet program continues.
At 14.00 hours we shall depart for Melbourne. We will take a different route home to Melbourne. We arrive approximately 18.30 hours in Melbourne

Included: Classic Jaguar hire and guide plus accommodation and access to all of Mt. Buffalo Chalet's recreation programs. Accommodation charges include dinner, bed and breakfast and a packed lunch to take away on day two.

Minimum: 2 Adult passengers to operate this tour.

Prices: View Room Package- A$630.00 p.p. Ensuite Room Package- A$555.00 p.p.

Prices include GST and are valid until March 31st 2002.
