Margherita Hazon was the daughter of the conductor and music critic Robert Hazon (1852-1920), the founder of the Sidney Orchestral Society. In 1908 she entered the Conservatory in Milan where she graduated in harp in 1912 with a first prize. She started a concert career and in 1915 she was appointed harp teacher at the Conservatory of Parma. She held this position until 1956. Margherita Cicognari was one of her students. |
