Victoria Vokes first took the stage when she was only two years old. She was the youngest of four children and her siblings all became music hall entertainers. Together they formed the pantomime group "The Vokes Family" and from 1869 to 1879 or later they appeared at Drury Lane in London. In August they successfully performed at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, but they were forced to return to England after the Franco-Prussian war broke out.

In 1871 she replaced Lilian Adelaide Neilson as Amy Robsart in "Kenilworth" at Drury Lane. In 1890 she was in Arthur Macklin's "My Lady Help" at the Shaftesbury Theatre. She never married and in 1894 she died in London.
