PAINTER (ENGLAND)
BORN 1842, Cheltenham - DIED 13 Aug 1929, Venezia

Studied with E. Isabey in Paris and afterwards at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, where she lived at the end of the century. From 1866 on she exposed at the Royal Academy and other places. She created mostly landscapes and coasts, in oil as well as in watercolour. In 1892 she became RWS. Vincent van gogh discovered her work in 1881 and called her a 'peculiar talent'.
