Haiku - Debra Woolard Bender

[Other haiku & tanka] [Other titles in English] [All other titles]

bedroom window
i wake to hear elephant ears
catch heaven’s river
september rain
the fields sprinkled
with wildflowers
grassy field
children fly windswept
paper dragons
what is the future?
clear water from a rock or
a handful of light
motel window --
pretending the surf's rise and fall
is not traffic noise
